wakey as i see it if they are doing anything like then they need to publicise it. you need new blood and new support and if you cannot generate the necessary marketing to get PARENTS to take their kids to a match then whats the point in going into schools!
if it is a lack of budget then it's narrow minded management - fans are the lifeblood of the club and at the minute you need lots more new support (not saying we dont s that is evedent from our fan recruitment drive). |

We live in Wakefield but my kids go to a school in Royston. We have got the Cas offers and Mr Perfect has been in to the see the kids but my daughter refused to speak to him. 5 years at a Barnsley school which is on the boarder with Wakefield and we have had nothing about the Wildcats. A bit sad really when our owners Grandkids are at the same School.

I know I could ring the club but a one off does not get them very far. They would need a policy to go to all schools in Barnsley or at least the ones on the Wakefield side if they thought it was cost effective. I am not having a go at the club. It is a business decision to be made by them. They only have so much money to spend and so much time. Both my kids are in the Junior Wildcats which is great and they are looking forward to Diversity performing at Belle Vue. If they have not go the money to target Barnsley that's OK by me but I hope they do in the future.

To be honest with you I would imagine they mainly concentrate on schools in Wakey but if you do ring them or someone from the school does then get other schools involved or pass on numbers to those that come and spread the word. It's easy to say the club should be doing this but for whatever reason they are not so give them a nudge in the right direction! |
