exactly. scrutons was the first offence? and right in front of the referee. ridiculous decision.
he may know the rules but he lacks the ability to control a game

Just seen the incident on Sky.

Penalty was against Jeffries. JD should have accepted that but pushed BJ around a bit to make a point.
Scruton gave him a big shove that's all, and JD lost it.

Much as I love the guy and thought he at least showed some passion, JD deserved the sin bin

HOWEVER, I hope they pick up the 3 Bradford forwards who ran a long way to get involved.

but funniest thing was watching Rooney try to do the honourable thing and get between Scruton and JD. He caught one and then when everybody pilled in couldn't get out of the way. He can be seen literally crawling out of the back of the ruck looking decidedly peed off.
Credit to him for trying but if you can't stand the heat man don't go in to the hell fire of the forwards when they are a little testy with each other.
Laughed my socks off!

Did they also pick up on the way our forwards' s collectivley fell out at the same time? Been a long time since I saw 5 blokes ting themselves in such a tight formation...

Quote: Wakefield No 1 "How the frig didnt Nick Scruton get sin binned aswell? he was the one throwing all the punches!!! vive la france...
I think there was something like this mentioned on boots 'n' all after our game v Wire last season. If JD threw the first punch at Scruton, then I think Scruton is given the right to defend himseld, and therefore doesn't get sin-binned. Burgess had to be off though, he ran 10m in to throw a huge punch (which luckily didn't hit anyone) but his second one did. Credit to Newton, he was trying to break it up for once.

Many a a true word said in jest. Instead we have Stosic, Bibey, Korkidas, Wilkes, Snitch etc all identikit forwards without an offload between them... Compare that to Bradford today with Burgess, Lynch, Langley, Menzies etc taking the ball up - that combined with laziness in defense gives you a clue to where we could improve.

problem was that Stosic and Korki weren't on the field. Would put my mortgage on them getting involved if they were.
JD was left alone by a number of our spineless players who wandered in slowly when all the pushing was nearly over.
Some of our forwards were as spineless at this moment as they were running it in all day.

bit unfair on snitch otherwise i agree with the point. we have to remember though are they being coached to only offload when absolutely certain? rather than speculatively which you often have to do to get second phase play when you're under the cosh

What rubbish. JD should never have thrown a punch - he is paid to play rugby and lead the team - not get into cheap brawls. I think everyone else who did not get involved showed great restraint and self control. ANY IDIOT CAN GET INTO A FIGHT.
