| Brough was poor. He’s been a top player in his time but he’s gone now.
Miller was ok.
Lilley was the best half on the field to be fair to him. Bradford played very well and in all honesty we were very fortunate to win. We seem to have no idea in attack.
For me we need a change in the coaching department.

| With Salford beating Wigan we're certainly going to have to perform far better than that display tonight. Bradford were far the better attacking side.

Any win is good against a John Kear coached side in the cup. Of course we can play better but a wins a win and credit to Bradford who played well.

| Awful, absolutely awful. Bradford ran harder, tackled harder, more enthusiastic and genuinely were unlucky to lose that one. The whole team 1-17 just didn’t look interested. The only plus point from that is we are in the hat for the next round. Move on and quickly. Nothing more to say.

Have to say I agree with the last point 4Fox.

| Chester lacks the intensity for a top super league coach. We get a win or a couple of tight defeats which paper over the cracks. I suppose that’s where we are as a club and the finances. We will never be anything more than mediocre.

| Got out of jail tonight against a well drilled, enthusiastic side, who were unlucky not to get the W.
We seem to go ok against the so called bigger clubs, Wire and Hull for example but, we seem to just not be ready to play against so called "lesser" opposition.
Happy to still be in the cup but, very disappointed with Trinity tonight - no where near good enough.
Take the win and move on, quickly.

| Think we are mediocre on a good day ,Mr Carter can see why is coaching staff ,gets stick .Thats the strongest team we have on the field for a very long time .Think it's time Brough called it a day Miller does not look the same player with Brough on the field .Walker is a disappointing same as the hookers

| Westerman was the best player for us tonight and either him or Pitts needs to be given the captaincy.
Brough was rubbish and his kicking game was even worse.
Shouldn't see the first team unless Max is injured or very, very, very poor.
Jordan Lilley was the best player on either side.

I don't think your allowed to say things like that, shudder to think what would be said on here if we actually lost.

During that 7-14 period I was actually thinking that if we lost, especially with Bradford making us look so dour and clueless in comparison, Chester might call it a day.
He really needs to let go with the Brough fixation.

| Wow we win a good old scrap by 3 points and the thread goes into meltdown. I make no wonder this board and the northstanders is in decline, a definate rift in support for the club. Any opportunity to put the knife in and people are jumping up from behind their querty boards or shouting over their smart phones.
We won it was a great hit out We kept Bradford in it with silly penalties. The ruck was too slow, but for the last 20 minutes we totally controlled the game when we stopped giving up ground through penalties.
We had players coming back who have not played it was the perfect opportunity to get some game time under the belt. Kelepi didn't come back on and neither to Alex after his head knock. All credit to Bradford they played really well and played the ruck well once it was clear it was going to be slow.
Look forward to the draw now at least we are in the hat. Wonder when the next gamexwill be now. I for one enjoyed the game it was a scruffy win but it was a win end of.
