It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

| I got the impression that Kear spent a fair bit of time coaching the defensive structures, or at least that is what Chester said in previous interviews. It gave me the impression that Chester's strength is attacking structure and we have a gap on the defensive side. I certainly thought our defence improved notably last season with Kear here. Now that Kear has gone that is the one area of our game I have concern about, will it still be as good this season?

| Well, it seems although the Club has had some good applicants aleady they're in no rush & if the perfect applicant doesn't appear, the money may be used to strengthen the squad.
On what JK did when he was here, CC has saaid this.
Quote: "On a day-to-day basis he assisted me with Lee Gilmour and Stuart Dickens. Lee and John headed up the defensive side of it and me and Stu did the offensive stuff. It worked pretty well. We were all a little bit shocked at the start of the week as we were quite confident John was going to stay'"
So as most of us thought at the time, Jk was involved in the defensive side of things and CC the attacking side with Glimour assisting Jk and Dickens CC. Hopefully, the likes of CC, Gilmour, and Dickens have managed to pick JK's brains enough while he was here that we see no downturn in our defensive structures.

| OUR DEFENCE WAS a major key to our success last year, we can't afford any drop in that part of our game. In order to win games you need to prevent the opposition from scoring!

I generally agree though, I think finding a former good halfback/back who's now moved into Coaching and wants to continue his development at an SL club would be beneficial . Tbh though I've really racked my brain to think of a coach/ex SL players who's moved into Coaching that could do that job and it's hard. Most of the guys that come to mind are former Coaches that are out of work and I don't think that's what we're looking for.
Anyone got any names just to kick things off while there's not much to talk about and what you think they'd bring to what we already have?'"
What about Bobby Goulding ???

| Garry Schofield may not be a bad shout. Although the bloke didn't quite do it as a head coach a specific job as a skills coach may be the right niche for him. Say what you like about him ( I don't mind him at all, there's no denying his passion) the bloke has been there and done it at the highest level.

You may be right but JK was defensive where as I suspect Schofields skills would be more attacking?
Morrison was a great defensive player so maybe he's worth a shout.

| Paul Cooke would be a great coaching acquisition, he’s been outstanding at Doncaster and Leigh.

| Whilst I appreciate that JK has joined Bulls, presumably on a full-time basis, and as there is no real conflict of interests due to our respective league positions, if he could be put into a sort of "retainer/advisor position with WT. In the way that we can loan players out to other clubs with dual registration etc why can't the same happen with team management? Especially as today's WE explains how JK left the club with a very heavy heart.

I agree. I firmly believe that players who made a lot of mistakes and did not reach their true potential as players and he made more than most make the best coaches. Or alternatively players who never really made it as top players but never stopped trying or finally those who's careers were cut short by injuries. Brain Clough and Alex Ferguson are two classic examples.
Peter Fox is a great example as is Kear in RL.
I think it's all to do with empathy and an understanding of players weaknesses as well as strength. I think top players who had it all including the winning attitude often seem to lack patience and the ability to see beyond the obvious.
Just my opinion.

Can't see that happening mate, JK's full time and his energy and concentration will be needed sorting the Bulls out and we know he doesn't do jobs half-d.
