Way OTT, I think you'll find that most FC supporters liked Agar as a person, always approachable even under the many difficult times he's endured. The fact is we hated the fact he was allowed to coach the team for so long when he clearly wasn't up to it which was, of course, the boards fault. He may well do well for you guys, certain coaches seem to do well for certain teams under certain circumstances, look at Roy Hodgson, worked wonders with a small club like Fulham, went to Liverpool and failed very quickly.

It's not as straightforward as that - some people actually have principles and are prepared to make sacrifices in defence of those principles; Hull FC have, in my view, acted egregiously in deliberately targeting away supporters to make a few more quid, perhaps relying on the attitude that you've described and expecting those fans to bite the bullet? The fact that some are choosing not to is testament to the error of the original judgement in my view and not a sign that those who choose to stay away don't support their club. |
