| We could of signed Shaul before the season started but decided to walk away and now we have lost one of our few bright lights to be replaced by a reserve player. To make it worse it is a straight swap I wonder how the two salaries compare. The accountant strikes again, the scorched earth policy he is implementing will take a long time to recover from. He I guess is not too bothered about his legacy.

Hall hasn’t been been pulling up any trees.
He may go on to be an England player (personally don’t see it but who knows) he may go on to be the best centre in the world but that doesn’t matter.
All that matters is we finish 11th in 2023.
We can plan for the future if we secure that.
I feel we have more chance of securing that with Dagger at the club than Hall due to the deficiencies we have in a key spine position.'"
I get your point and I agree we needed a full back badly.
I would just have preferred to keep Hall.
We aren't play the type of rugby that will get the best out of him but still.
The only reason to do this is if he wanted to go.

| Hard to see any sense in this decision - which probably explains why it happened

Anyone else???
Fed up and f..ked off at this dross!!!'"
I will no longer be going and wasting my money. Hall was one of the few things going for Trinity. It’s like selling the family jewellery.
It’s absolutely the wrong call in my opinion and anyone who watches rugby league regularly.
They should have offered one of our other first team players like Gaskell! or Lynne. Ahh but they would’ve take them would they?!

| I'll be supporting the players still wearing a Trinity shirt.
The protests are a little premature.

| To say Hall wasn't up for the fight is completely and utterly wrong and actually insulting to him but i suppose some have to try and make something up to justify the clubs ridiculous actions. We wanted a fullback as cover and ended up swapping our best centre and probably most promising young player for a reserve player. Yeah great deal guys. And i'll give it a month at best before Dagger is injured himself. This club will end up with exactly what it deserves.

| M C needs to take anything owed to him and sod off now. I thought Mash was a good coach and should be given a chance but it appears not cos this decision is ludicrous . Way things are going new east stand will be a supermarket in a couple of years. Absolute disgrace in my opinion and I seriously thinking of not bothering watching anymore.

You literally said yourself it feels like the beginning of the end. What are folk supposed to do? Keep throwing money at a club heading for relegation when they show absolutely no transparency at a time like this.
I'd suggest a fans forum would help but I really don't see any justification.

Not happy to see him go, wish him all the best, but he really is average and not a superleague starting full back at all.
Great bit of business for rovers, however really do feel for wakey fans.

I absolutely did not say that.
By all means don't go to watch. But a protest just makes things worse. Its not like Hall is coming back.
Time to move forward as best we can.

| A third of the season has been played with no win.
In my opinion the reaction by many is not pre mature (your initial reaction‘beginning of the end’ is correct).
If Trinity released a fringe player or one who’s off form and looking towards the end of their rugby league career (rather than at the beginning of it) then it could be more easily understood.
Releasing a first teamer for a squad player is not good business. A fee should have also been demanded so another player could also be purchased.
The club is preparing for the Championship.

Stopping coming only only exasperates the situation as I see it , as it’s the old chicken and egg scenario, they can only spend on players what they generate, and as fans fall away so dies our expenditure on players .
