If we lose and they present the shield I'll stay to watch and have a bit of a sing.
If we win I'd expect Sky to give us credit for doing it and not say Cas were off their game.'"
Agree 100% Pop Tart and if the tables were turned I hope it would be the same.

I could very easily reply that I've had beer thrown over me, been called out by a group of idiots and had my car window damaged while visiting Wakey - does it stop me from returning? No because the other 99.9% of fans are perfectly fine, happy to talk to you no matter what jersey you're wearing and generally have a good time.'"
I've not been to Cas for a number of years because of the animosity, the last Tim we went we had glasses thrown at us from the boot room, it's ironic that since Cas have been doing well the fans are being applauded for being "inspiring" "colourful". Strange innit. I remember when we tonked Cas was a few years since, it 26-0 a few hundred Cas hooligans came to the railway end over the playing area attempting to get a reaction. It's nice looking down but always remember looking up!

| I've not missed an away game at Cas, including friendlies, for many many years. Never had any real problems other than the odd bit of banter. Taking a work colleague "southern softy" with me tomorrow to sample the atmosphere. Hope we can pack out our usual end.

| I've been going to Cas away games and neutral games since probably early 80s. Never had any trouble.

| Got my tickets for tomorrow looking forward to the game but I'm apprehensive about going to the Jungle, some trips it's fine no problems others haven't been so good. In the last few years I've had beer thrown at me, my friend has had urine thrown at him. It's not all Cas fans by any means but there seems to be a group that gets tanked up, takes the saying love cas toot gas to its extremes stands behind the away fans and behave like imbeciles. Get rid of that group and the atmosphere would be top notch.

| Quote: Towns88 "It's a shame you've had such a bad experience that it's put you off ever returning. If you were to beat us Thursday if I were a wakey fan I would hate to miss out on such occasions. I've had bad times at Hull KR and Headingley , assaulted, but not tarnished the whole lot and just took it as isolated incidents. I wouldn't say it is the friendliest places to watch rugby but it's one of the best, especially if your team is winning, something the tv and armchair can't replicate.'"
There will, as always, be plenty of Trinity fans there on Thursday.
Wheldon Road has always been an intimidating ground for away fans.
The atmosphere is usually very good but, some of the stuff that goes on afterwards, usually started by drunken folk outside the boot room, in unsavory.
Things have been better recently, probably due to the Early Bath and the other pub closer to the town centre now being shut down but, let's not pretend that it's the nicest place to come.
Totally agree about the "armchair fan" comments though and it's a crying shame that our sport is so heavily influenced by the needs of Sky, with very little thought given to the actual supporters of the game.
We are now only used as "window dressing" but, in reality, it is becoming more and more difficult for fans to get to every game.

| James Child is the Ref. Have to say he was the one Ref I was most dreading.
Still, with our poor record with him in the middle we are due a win (and a win against Cas!)

I think this has been done. There have been a group of idiots (who claim to support Cas) deliberately standing at the front of the Railway End and goading away supporters. They would then start trouble at the end of the game, before running out of the exits at either side of the stand.
There was a deliberate tactic at the Salford game to identify these idiots and photograph them before any trouble started. A camera then recorded the end of the game and identified any of these idiots causing trouble before they ran off. As a result, twelve people were refused entry to the Saints game (and will be refused entry indefinitely). Any who did 'slip the net' didn't bother to try it again at the Saints game and this group of idiots seem to have been sorted.
Now that's not to say there won't be other idiots who fill their shoes, but I know a lot of work was put in to eliminating this group.

| Never really had any bother at Cas over the years. I've been called a "Wakey b*st*rd" just as I'm sure a Cas fan has been called a "Cas b*st*rd", but as they say, sticks and stones etc.
If Wakefield don't win the LLS or Super League, I'd much rather it be Cas (or Hull) than any of the others. Super League has seen a bit of a shake up this year, with fans of the so called big clubs saying it's a poor standard this year usually because their team is not doing very well. Long may it continue.

| The only time I've encountered trouble from Cas fans was the MPG in 06 walking home, but understandable since they're were also some Wakey fans taking the gloating way too far.

| Looking forward to this one - Always enjoy a trip to Cas.
Based on Thursday's performance I don't see why we can't put in a good shift and turn them over.
Don't get me wrong they merit their position in the league but it would be great if we can put the LLS off for another week.
Firmly believe a win tomorrow will put us in the driving seat for a top 4 finish - Maybe one more win along the way.
Imagine the buzz of being 1 game away from Old Trafford!! Excites me just typing it..
UP THE TRIN!!
