I can go for quality over quantity, that's how your younger players become better.
For the last couple of years we have signed players and not used them much, Molloy and Motu Tony spring to mind.
Agars teams always played better when we had an injury crisis and the team picked itself, without having to juggle positions to fit players in.
If we can get 3 or 4 top dollar players, their attitude rubs off better on junior players, rather than 6 steady players.

I thought he had his contract terminated by Salford due to a knee injury.
He took them to a tribunal and and agreement was reached.
He then came training with us, proved he was fit enough, with no problems with his knee.
This led to him getting an 18 month contract.

Molloy I think was a gamble that didn't pay off. He's played 7 games this year and 3 games last season. That's just not enough. I appreciate that he's probably injured through no fault of his own but Salford released him probably because of the fitness doubts. With Ashurst, Kirmond, Ryan, Lauitiiti, Walshaw and Annakin for back rowers in the squad, retaining the last 3 to support the first three would be good IMHO for next season. I think he signed for the Bulls but either he couldn't get a visa or the signing embargo stopped him coming over

With Mathers going I think keeping Sykes would be a good idea. 1 Sykes, 6 Sammut, 7 Smith.

It's good that the debate about signing players has started at the beginning of August.
This time last year we were in financial melt down and looking to sign players after the World Cup.
Don't think there is any need to go rushing in ham fisted and blow the budget too early.
