| Yeah, that big scoreboard advertising Melbourne Ales. I always felt very sorry for that poor guy who hung the numbers on the board as the score changed; especially in winter. He used to get loud jeers from the crowd when he put the wrong score up. Good memories eh???

Up the Trin'"
I would love that to happen, but before February 21st I doubt it very much. After all these years of false promises, I don’t trust our own council or any of the developers to deliver the promises made to the Wakefield citizens. We all need to keep ahead of Council/developers and oppose any applications on the Newmarket site until we have the developers money in the Trust account.

| If the council are to buy BV this would make sense of their backing given to the alternative trust.
With Rodders and Eric Timmins involved who are their masters?
Would be the council before Trinity despite their past allegiances.
Need to read any small print this time round.
What is Manni getting out of the sale and what will Yorkcourt be contributing?

| Wonder if the council have decided to take out a loan on Belle Vue with MC paying the interest as he offered earlier.
Plus point is we can start the rebuild but who gets the revenue from events sales?

Would imagine the Community Trust will run the stadium and we will be tenants in the community stadium.

Something I have been thinking about is the Community stadium was to be built by the developers at that time Yorkcourt, with Trinity as anchor tenants. If a stadium is then built,or Belle Vue redeveloped with monies from a source other than the developers as instructed by the Secretary of State, would any new stadium development be classed as a private venture. If this was the case, then would the stadium belong to the Trust,or to Wakefield Trinit.

Public money can't legally be given to private companies so the trust will need to be involved as was always the case at NM.
I have no problem with this as long as its the proper trust. If its the phoney trust then all it will be is a vehicle so that some greedy old men can use it to line their own pockets.

Me and my 2 mates did it after him...we started off doing it for the A-team games on a Saturday afternoon and when he retired we got asked if we wanted to do it for the first team
We were disappointed when they finally knocked it down as it was the best seat in the ground (imagine the view from the roof of the Northstand now), but it was a bit lairy in high winds and it wasn't un-common for one of the numbers to occasionally fly off...they could easily have killed someone

We could threaten to "emigrate" and set up on continental Europe, that would secure £millions in government grants
