[iI would certainly encourage anyone who was in the vicinity on Friday and witnessed the appaling behaviour of the minority of Wakefield fans or had any complaints to write to the RFL at reception@rfl.uk.com in order to help with the investigation[/i
I would encourage all Wakefield fans to do the same to add balance. If you saw what happened, report it as it wasn't just Wakefield fans that we in the wrong, cas fans were equally to blame. Let not sit back and let them pin it all on us, both sides were to blame.

So one post means that all Cas fans aren't balanced?

I've sent mine we all need to email in and get our side across. It's seems a smear campaign has started by some Cas fans to put the blame on us when clearly both sets of fans were equally to blame. If we don't email in there is good chance that the Cas emails will influence the investigation.

This wasn't you posting on your other forum then? Certainly not balanced and a totally different tone to what you've saying on these forums.
The group in front of me, to which several people have identified, were certainly not Castleford fans given their vitriolic outbursts aimed at Castleford fans and they then moved to where the initial crowd trouble started. I was actually in a good position in the North Stand so have seen bits of what occurred despite my very best attempts to focus on the game. The Wakey minority on the edge of the divide, however, spent the entire first bit of the second half focusing on the Cas fans. Therefore, my statement albeit is correct in the sense but I admittedly left out the actions of some Cas fans that ensued.
FYI, I have pointed out several times that in regard to the bottles being thrown that both clubs are at fault. However, for some to come on here questioning balance only to state "let's start blaming Cas fans" is that just not tit-for-tat and a bit two-faced?
Don't know about you but I'd rather all idiots were eradicated from the sport regardless of club.

So if a large amount of Cas fans write to the RFL and no Wakefield fans do that won't be balanced will it? If people say what they've seen then from both sides then, along with the independent reports, we might get somewhere near the truth. As i've put on the VT anyone would think world war 3 had broken out and it wasn't anything like. It was a small minority of drunken s from both sides who think they are hard and clever when they are neither. Both clubs should work together to get rid of them all 'cos neither team needs the bad press or can afford the fines'"
No but your own club have asked for fans to write in and I'm sure that it won't just be Cas fans accounts that will be taken into consideration. There are Match Commissioner, Stewards, Police etc to take into consideration.
As for your latter points - I concur completely.

Or alternatively, no statements whatsoever, no segregation. Allow Cas fans to sp themselves out across the stand and Wakefield fans to filter in around them. This would have prevented two extremely large groups of opposing fans standing opposite each other, some containing a few drunken idiots who no doubt naturally deliberately went to the middle to cause trouble and thus eliminating the situation that actually occurred.
This would have in all probability led to better stewarding and more control of the situation.
Blame RW all you want - his points were actually well made, whether you continue to dispute them or not.

Just roll over in bed, would you, and give him a nudge, ask him if he regrets making them.
For what it's worth, I agree that no comments about segregation should have been made, and the lets go north thing should have waited a week, but once we had raised it, we should have stuck to it. There were flames licking on the Cas forum about the Wakey stance. Dicky fanned them nicely.

| Elston cocked up. Wright cocked up. Some Wakey fans acted like idiots. Some Cas fans acted like idiots. Everybody suffers.
A slap on the wrist for both clubs and a mandate from the RFL for both sides to quit the dick measuring contest thats constantly taking place and to work together to sort it out for futures games will do. Lets make sure it doesn't happen again.

That sums it up for me. It's the efforts made by Cas fans to pretend it was all those from the big city club that did it all that irritates. I suppose they have more to fear, given recent events, and they have to get through the Fev game yet.
The problem for both clubs is that we have numerous big club clashes with no problems, and then the two pariahs of the super league, as far as the RFL are concerned, get together and it kicks off.

| There has been one common factor in the most recent incidents of crowd trouble in our great game, even the thickos such as Lewis and Wood can work that one out. Fully you are without doubt a brown nose of the highest order where Wright is concerned, you are a joke.

| If Cas fans do respond to Fully's call to arms, any half-decent investigation will see it for what it is; a campaign of spin to deflect attention away from them. Childish and silly in my view and more likely to backfire than achieve the outcome they want.
As I've said before, both clubs deserve criticism for what happened during the build-up, with the CEO's in particular shouldering some of the blame; beyond that, the RFL themselves should accept that scheduling a heated local derby at 19:30 on a traditionally boozy bank holiday Friday night was a mistake.
Beyond that, both clubs and sets of fans should work together to out the yobs, ban them and assist the police with their investigation; if we start doing that now, it will go better for both of us.

| Bren, if you're going to spout rubbish at least get your facts right. I have told absolutely zero people to write in. I think you'll find that most, if not all fans, have written in of their own accord based on your own club's press releases.
As for kick off time, Wakey could have asked for an earlier kick off. Be interesting to know if an earlier kick off time was ever pursued?
