As bad as wakey were in the first half they rallied well in the second and with a big more composure with ball in hand could have come away with the points . The sin binning cost us dearly and our edge defence was a shambles at times . Nice to see Pauli and Fifita getting stuck in which helped get back in the game somewhat, but was a bridge too far in end .

Not coming 5th will cost us some decent revenue as would have had home games against Hull Saints and Wigan.

As it stands will be Wire/cas, Giants and Catalans

Seen a few times this year that short turnarounds hurt us but not really enough depth in the squad to freshen things up.

Would love to know why we didn’t see Pauli at all in the first half though

As already said woody was a massive loss tonight especially when Pauli n dave were making inroads ,it was ripe for his scoots from dummy half .
All ifs and buts now ,dust ourselfs down and move on to the next game,and hopefully put a more zip in our step .

Thought Pauli was exceptional in the 2nd half but, Huddersfield, aided by Hicks were excellent in the first half.
They were creating and exploiting space on both edged exceptionally well.

The sin binning looked very harsh indeed and I would love to know what Ashurst said.

Great spirit shown in the second half but, the damage was all done by HT.

This result was always going to happen. The sheer relief of last Sunday was always going to mean that players would be slightly less focused, especially with a short turnaround. I don't see it as a big deal. Now, they've got two weeks to refocus and make a push for the highest possible placing.

We have stuttered and spluttered our way along and just about managed to scrape our way into the 8's.


Huddersfield have made massive strides and managed to get there from an almost impossible situation.


We had a walk in against a very poor Hull side, where as they had one hell of a much harder game than us away to Cas in order to secure their safety.


OK they had a few more days in between but they approached the game in a professional manner and they looked like they still intended to get as high up the table as possible. Our approach to the game was totally the opposite and those two pathetic kicks on the last tackle at the beginning of the game said it all. We were badly prepared and already in holiday mode thinking we had done our bit and the season is over.

No- The difference was for more than 20 minutes we had no subs. Taai insisted he came back on with a busted knee against doctors orders so we didn’t have to play the rest of the game with 12 men.
You guys know Murphy and know he’s neither a wimp nor easily rattled but he was absolutely fuming with what your player did to him. He was ranting and raving as he was explaining to the medical staff what had happened as he came off. hicks wimped out and put it on report, no penalty was awarded. But we lost another man for the rest of the game. Classy booing him off btw.

Well that was always going to happen, the good thing is it's at your place so at least we won't lose out financially, whose the other club taking part in super9s btw.

Wouldn't swear to it but I think we get 8th 1st and 4th, Catalans Saints and most likely Warrington.
