We are not in a good position to be able to refute all rumours quite so quickly, especially one suggested by the media. This should be a gift to a club like Wakefield, we need some sign that a plan is in place for next season to encourage the supporters. No it must be squashed and those who made the initial suggestion ridiculed.
I admire the honesty but sadly it just proves the lack of understanding needed to help the club and increase the spirit within the much maligned support.

I can't believe some people on here. The BBC posts we have signed a player that we haven't and you bag the chairman for saying it isn't true. What is he supposed to say "We might have"? I feel as frustrated as the next however the chairman signed who he was told. He tried to strengthen to retain out SL status. The players all season have let him down, on paper we should be better.

If we lose SL status who loses out the most money wise? Him. It is frustrating but one day people will say the chairman should keep the supporters informed, next they will say he should let rumours he know are untrue run.

A little too simplistic an answer. With regards the rumour say nothing and give the supporters some belief that we have a plan for next season but no it must be squashed.

I am sure the coach could give a list of players he wants to sign Slater, Cronk etc. however the Chairman will say you have X amount to spend so get what you can. He may not pick the players but he dictates the level. We sign better players but have a small squad or cheaper players and have a bigger squad it is all down to money.

With regards information can you tell me where we are playing next season, who are we looking to bring in, who is being resigned or released. We have not heard a word about anything so what are we as supporters suppose to do after the current season which he presided over. I fear many will do like the majority and show what they think with their feet by walking away.

so why don't you start a rumour about us getting a new stadium with all the trimmings.then if mc doesn't dismiss the rumour we can all believe it and be happy for a couple of week until we find out we are not.
