Third if you include Leeds.......same game time as everyone else, and most have put in decent performances.
saw a you tube clip of him before he came and he looked sharp and exciting.....time to step up after all the hype.

| If we had taken the drop out and had another set of six I recon they would have given us anther penalty and one would have been In the bin or we might have scored as we seemed to have some gas. The mistake took the wind out of our sale. Regarding John still need to see more games from him. But also Tim is everywhere thus taking him out of the game. The need to share the plays or we are going to look one dimensional and easy to defend against. Apparently Sandercock wants to see the video as he thinks the tackles were late on Dobson and someone else. To me they seemed fair committed tackles.

| Daft mistakes killed us. Mariano's drop was a turning point but lauitiiti & washbrook losing the ball in good positions early in the tackle count were just as culpable. Smith was involved but for the most part poor and john was annoymous. We need more from the halfbacks in future.Hull KR deserved it, their forwards outmusled us in the tackle and slowed up our main threat at the play the ball. Our lack of size in comparison to their pack hurt us in heavy conditions. We looked what we were, a prop light. That said there was enough positives too, i thought johnson was immense and raleigh looked good in the first half. Fox, bar the drop out cock up, and cockayne got involved well and collis looks a good un. But KR were there for the taking and we fluffed our lines i'm afraid.

| I couldn't make my mind up at the time whether Mariano's drop was due to him not expecting the pass or whether it was celebrating the try before he'd caught the ball. I'd probably go with the latter.

its a flaw with many players that they are setting off before the ball is in their hands, the first reaction is for the eyes to look away
what made it worse was the way they worked up field and scored straight away after that
not much between the two teams we did lose the plot a little in the second half

Still think it's harsh, seen as he played well against Widnes, as well as the warm up game against Cas, where he looked very good.
I 'm not sure where your getting all the hype from, apart from the odd clip and a couple of former players saying he's a good player, how was he hyped exactly, no one knew much about him.
He's going to take time to settle, some players do it quicker than others, it will be even harder since as he's coming into a team that's learning how to play with each other, rather than one that 's been together for a few years.

| i'm not sure what some people expect. we have seen a massive turnaround in staff over the off season. this was one that got away, that we really should and could have won. there will be others like this too. the effort was there, the structure was more or less there, but cohesion isn't there yet and we'd be silly to expect that it is.
overall, a good effort against a side who kept their emotions and structures together better than we did, a good game. no complaints.

| I said it earlier in the week that you would miss Amor and you did. Not sure if you would have won mind, but when Wilkes went off your pack lost its go-forward.
I think some of you are being hard on your half backs. They tried just about every trick in the book but Rovers defence was simply magnificent.
Once your team settles down and the chemistry starts to flow I can see you surprising a number of teams. See you all at MS3CP for the return match!

| I think I've read all the posts on here and agree with most that the better team won on the day.
Now I don't want to deviate from that view, or be accused of being a bad loser but can anyone please explain to me what constitutes a knock on nowadays, because the first try HKR scored followed a blatant knock on five metres from the Wakefield line. As I say, this is not raised in bitterness because HKR may well have gone on and won in any event but why couldn't we have a FAIR call by the referee. He simply indicated the ball had gone backards! bloody rubbish and it cost us a try!
Moan over, well done HKR and I concede after yesterday, Andy Raleigh has stepped up to the 'prop' mark adequately!

| Hull KR's defense especially on there goal line was fantastic. On the other hand on the few occasions they got in our half in the 2nd period ours wasnt!
I thought we played some ok stuff at times with Collis looking a real threat. Forwards wise i thought PJ was again very good, Aiton & Raleigh decent but overall i thought there pack was better. Halves werent firing but jeez, 2 games in and people are moaning already. Issac is 21/22 years old, has come half way round the world, played 2 competative games of rugby (1 of which he was decent in) and already the knives are out! Give the kid a break for crying out loud!
It takes some overseas players a good year to get anywhere near the level they can play at. Look at Pat Richards & Rangi Chase. some Wigan & Cas fans wouldnt have been that bothered if either had left after there first 6 months/season and now look at them.

| Prior to the match I didn’t expect us to win, however, with Dobson off injured followed by one of theirs in the bin, I thought we might sneak it.
I didn’t realise that instead of applying some pressure, we decided to gift them possession on tackles one, two & three in their half, on about four occasions.
In fact the only meters we gained in the 2nd half was from the refs whistle.
Hey ho, early days, new team & all that.

| Weird game to watch. Winter conditions, Wakefield in traditional strip, steam off the scrums, tight heavy game for long periods, big crowd, scarves and wooly hats, muddy strip! It was like being back in the good old days.
Johnson and Cockayne stood out for me. For all Raleigh's efforts he still gives away too many penalties. Don't think Lautiti ever played the ball after a drive, he either lost it or threw away a stray pass.
Turning point was Washbrook's pass to the Hull KR player after picking up that loose ball on half way.

I thought he had a good game apart from that though, he made a cracking try saving tackle in the first half!
