| Quote: Sandal Cat "What land are you referring to ? Belle Vue does not belong to us so he couldn't have that. I believe now that Tillion are in receivership it now belongs to the Bank of Ireland who provided the mortgage and has 1st charge on it. I think we are paying rent to the receiver of Tillion to play there this season.'"
I wonder if he was interested in buying Belle Vue off the Bank of Ireland.

He wouldn't need the club for that though.

| In all probability Steve Parkin will have pulled out because of the inability of the RL to give assurances that the club will survive the franchise. Which leaves him with the decision of whether to buy a lottery ticket or not. Remember there will still be only one club receiving a contract in 3 years time as well and I'm sure Toulouse,Halifax, Leigh and maybe a Cumbrian club will also be pushing hard. We have had 10 years feeding at the top table and if we leave it could be a good while until we eat there again. We have one hope left and I'll let you guess on that !!!!

| in cautiously welcoming Andrew to the club... my feeling - watching from 13000 miles away - is actually one of dissapointment. The resaon,? I felt the wealth of Parkin and his associates... where perhaps the only thing that could win us a franchise, for superleague...
I feel like we almost signed Wally Lewis but got Geoff Bagnall. (I hope you understand the analogy, i dont wish to denegrade either Glover or Bagnall)... once we lose the franchise I dont believe we will it get back... ever! maybe that was Parkins view also?
good luck Andrew I hope you work miracles.

| ok... here's the problem. Christ, I hate doing this but there are more questions than answers here.
is Andrew Glover paying off all the debt?
If so why wait til it goes into administration to do this - there's no business sense is doing this
If he's not paying off all the debt and is going through the administration process, to get the best deal and accept a percentage, then surely the administrators should be announcing the new owners and also the creditors should be voting on whether they accept the reduced amount.
Am I missing something here, once the administrators have been announced then surely the dealings should be through them, not the website.
I guess what I'm asking is how finalised is this deal?

thats the fear I would hate to see us playing National League in front of 1200 diehards with little or no hope playing micky mouse comps like the Northern Rail Cup
But for now today will do lets now hope we can get some players in and some deadwood out

| Just done a raft of interviews on behalf of the Wakefield Trinity Supporters Trust and then driven down to Cardiff so I haven't had the chance yet to say welcome to the club Andrew.
I know you've been involved for a while as a sponsor and that members of your family are involved as well but taking the step to own the club at this time of crisis will emotionally attach you to Wakefield Trinity like nothing else you will ever have experienced before.
There'll be some hard times ahead and some tough decisions to be made but as long as you have the best interests of the club at heart, which I believe you do, the fans will follow your lead and have faith in the decisions you make.
No ones expecting overnight miracles, a couple of days maybe, but I genuinely feel that the club has turned a corner with your ownership, here's to a return of the good times.

I don't know whether we've turned a corner now or not. I'll wait and see what our new owner delivers. But I genuinely feel this is the time for a supporters' trust, and one with board representation at that.
I'm glad the initial part of this sorry episode has been resolved though.
