| Quote: PopTart "So worse case, he invested £2.5 million?
Are you trying to imply that isn't good enough?'"
No, not implying that at all.
Merely asking an open question by asking if any investment has been put into the squad in the past 10 years.
Also pointing out that reporting a debt of £2m, when it was mentioned 10 years ago that the debt was much lower. I get that a debt cab be missed somewhere by missing invoices etc, it happens, but £1.5m.
Sorry it doesn't stack up

| I know of two Hollywood "B" film stars who like investing in no hope football clubs who have just won promotion after 15 years in the doldrums (sound familiar?), gained millions of fans local and worldwide in the process, and become folk heroes in a small Welsh city. I wonder if they want to follow that up with a similar exercise involving a failing Yorkshire RLFC.

One paper Quoted, a disappointing crowd of over nineteen and a half thousand watched Wakefield beat the Australian R L side , The crowd for the film was from the home game v Wigan the crowd then was about 30,000 . Could be wrong ( not the first time ) but shot parts of the film were R H was on the field early on match days.

Not far off for the Wigan cup game, which was given at 28,500. Happy to say I was there standing in the paddock area of the old West Stand. Filming for “This Sporting Life” was taking place before the game, and some Trinity players were playing as extras in the film, I’m sure Jan Prinsloo was one of the extras. Happy days then.

I'm almost certain he bought the team a new set of the traditional jerseys on his departure.

Suffice to say I wholeheartedly disagree with you based on my experiences of him and I’m not alone!
There is no record of him putting £2,000,000 into the club, I doubt he’s got the kind of wealth that would allow that sort of investment'"
Mr Carter getting a lot of stick on this forum a lot of which he does not deserved Answer my this .Is it not the Coaches job to get a team to pass a ball along the line at speed ,defend well ,get forwards to run in hard when receiving the ball ,and move up as one at speed when defending all of which we do not do. Is this Mr Carter's job as well,Think my self this is down to poor coaching by our, out of there depth, coaches

Do you mean the coaches that Carter employed?

I agree.
But I'd add, the coach of a super league team shouldn't have to teach his players how to pass or run hard. If they don't know that already we are stuffed.
He teaches them when and where to run and pass.
Clearly either teacher or student is missing part of that conversation.....or he's teaching a masters degree to Y7s.

| The board are the ones tasked with raising the necessary monies to fund a competitive team. They are then the ones who employ a coaching set up which should be capable of improving players and getting the absolute best out of that team. And those coaching appointments have to then achieve the desired outcomes by getting the players to perform to standard, it is after all a results business.
Given none of those targets have not only not been achieved, but missed quite spectacularly i’d say it’s a massive collective failure by all involved from the top down.
