| It was an impossible situation from them receiving the ball at the start of the 2nd half ! They were fully prepared to blitz us
for the 10 mins we were a man down and did it to perfection . With our stronger tacklers off the field ( Arona Whitbread Hood ) our constant defending just led to more and more errors ! Should Poching have changed his subs rotation to shore us up for this blitz .. yes imo . But the more you see Fifitas incident the more ridiculous it was of him to do it ! Christ knows what was going through his head

Ok.
Down to 12 men.
So why not start the second half with Hood and Whitbread. Both were rested and both are top defenders. We needed damage limitation!!
He then brings both back on when the game is totally lost.
Unless there were other issues that in my opinion were terrible tactics. And it’s not the first time.
I’m no coach but sadly neither is Willy or not yet.
It wasn’t the Fifita sending off that was a killer or it shouldn’t have been it was the Butler one. Had we restricted them to two tries in that first ten minutes as you’d expect we’d probably have wine even if Butler walked.
Also in the first half Milker wanted to run the ball. He knew Toulouse were shot but we took two. Had we bagged another six I doubt Dave would have imploded.
Yes it’s all hindsight but trying to anticipate the outcome is the coaches primary job.
It’s very simple, 12 months on WP in no further on than CC, in fact we’ve gone backwards.

Perhaps you need a good head of rugby like what we have, who has helped to get superb overseas players like MacDonald, Ipape, Asiata, Amone and Ferguson!!

We do have one who is at Leigh. We are paying him his 2022 wages….mind boggling isn’t it how we are paying Chester who is at Leigh.
In honesty though Chesters recruitment has been questionable at best for trinity. He signed the likes of Gaskell/Lineham on long deals.
It was correct to get rid of Chester and in fact we waited too long.

Biggest error of all, not playing batch at centre. With Bowden and Bowes obviously fit we could have covered for batch moving from the pack.

Yes, I still can’t wrap my head around it. 2 x MOTM performances at right centre and we move him and that side falls to bits in defence and attack.
The other one is Poching moving Crowther back to 9. Thats a severely poor move imo with an actual 9 sat in the stands.

Have to be careful what I say here because on the whole I thought Hicks had a decent game but, he is the ref and I'm sure he can justify his decision aided by Fifita, but I noted that for a period in the second half that everything seemed to go their way as been illustrated by other posters on here, the Pitts incident springs to mind for sure, you can argue while the cows come home about the if's and buts, but for me it all stems from the pressure put on the team by those two especially Fifita, we were comfortable we didn't have to score, just had to contain them like we did in the first half, a lot of energy spent in the first half all wasted for absolutely nothing as it turned out, frustration does not come close mate, I could say I'm nearly as frustrated as when you ate my last pork pie in Bridgendicon_wink.gif

Don’t have he answers, but your constant BLAH: BLAH: BLAH certainly issue the answer. Have your ever given up on a family member that’s given you grief or did you support them?

You do realise that Wakefield Trinity is a sports club and you are not related. It is possible to talk to a family member to discuss the problem and would you keep giving them money without question. This is not quite so easy with our current incumbents who actively avoid direct discussion but you give them money to spend how they feel fit.

Why? Who have you tried to talk to?
And what did you want to say to help the situation?

| Quote: 1315trinity "What can be said about Willie is that our style of play has not changed one bit since he arrived.
He had those wins at the start of his stint as coach (as most new coaches probably do) and a few here and there this season BUT it remains that we are clueless in attack and our points conceded over the last three games speaks volumes for our defence. So, he's not coaching attacking ideas into the team, because they don't display any. In fact they are the worst rugby playing team in SL and they play the type of rugby I don't like to watch. Our defence is dreadful.
So, having coached to team to such a high standard let's get controversial with team selection. Croft should not have played - I like a lot more saw enough in Batchelor at centre to know he would have tightened that side up. Bowes should have played, that's not knocking Crowther - he's not a specialist hooker, Bowes is.
That's my rant over but that's how I see things. Sorry Willie -great player-but lacking as a coach so far!'"
It's hard to argue with any of that tbh. I would add that Bowden should have got the nod over Butler too , unless he was injured.
Otherwise why have we signed him ?

| If they read the forum they would have removed Chester at least two seasons ago thereby avoiding the waste of money on his signings for example. The problem is if they do they pay no attention and any meetings they have online are subject to pre submitted and audited questions, nothing off the cuff.
If you can come up with any other way the club encourages discussion with supporters please let the forum know. I would also add that I may have missed it but have either the Chairman or CEO made any apologies to those supporters spending money and witnessing performances like that against Salford.

You've got to be kidding. There is hardly any agreement on this forum of what to do. Only that they don't like it. How are they to work that out?
But I guess what you are saying is you are expecting them to come and talk to you.
Personally, I'd rather they go to other professionals for advice.

Well I don’t know the professionals they are talking to but it’s not working too well. Why should they want to talk to me, they don’t want to talk to any supporters even those like you.
