Ive had that award since 2002, it’s not true but I can live with it. Rule is simple, you make strident comments you get strident comments back. I myself have been a victim of my own hubris, you live with it.

| I thought the first half was the best half of Rugby I have seen us play for a long time. We controlled the ball brilliantly for 30 minutes, the players were all on the same page. We gave very few penalties away, any 6 agains were on first tackle. It was great to watch, then in the final 10 minutes there were a couple of errors that gave Warrington good field position and our defence was first class. The whole team were great but just wanted to note that Arundel and Walker were just great. their decision making was just great and the their aggression in defence was impressive. My man of the match was Arundel, for me the best centre we have. The second half saw a hugely talented Warrington team throw the kitchen sink at us, they had nothing to lose, and our boys came out winners. I don't think it was a fitness thing, we stuck at it, we scrambled and there were some brilliant individual efforts ; Pitts desperate tackle on Williams who looked clear, Yudin somehow getting to Ratchford, Arundel just getting an ankle tackle on the young Warrington live wire hooker. A great win, a great match, a top performance also from the ref and his colleagues, a much needed boost for players, club and fans.

It looks like Miller has avoided a ban for the cannon-ball tackle that he got penalised for yesterday as it looks like the only ones banned this week are Tommy Makinson, Matt Costello and Rhyse Martin ??

He came off against Hudds holding his shoulder, we thought it looked dislocated but could’ve been anything.

All the right numbers but, not necessarily in the right order

That is a crap turn out but it will take a while to recover, due mainly to Covid and partly to our recent crispness.

Dam sight less if the wires hadn’t turned out in numbers ,but something to build on.

| Quote: vastman "He’s a quality young player. We are incredibly lucky to have found such a young prop with such a mature head.
If this lad stays fit he’s an international in the making. We won’t need an NRL prop to build a pack around.
There is so much young talent at Trinity at the moment it’s staggering.
Here is a list of those I think could make it, not saying they will but they might. In order of quality from what I’ve seen.
Aydin
Murphy
O’Donovan
Eseh
Greensmith
Bowes
Ruan
Windrow
Butterworth
I’ve lost track of Bailey and how he’s doing at Newcastle.
In truth I could add a few more to that list.
In any normal season the list would be two or three max, some years none!
Truth is there are too many in that list to all get through, it’s not a talent issue it’s a balance issue.
All the same it’s a record crop of talent and I just hope it’s not wasted. I’d hope to see at least four or five of those lads as regulars by 2023.'"
He is already an international…for Turkey, played against Malta over in Australia a couple of years back.
I just think with him and some of the others coming through we need to be patient and not build them up too much. I think the club is doing a great job with him just slowly bringing him through and exposing him to first team rugby at a realistic pace. I think the loan spell at York did him the world of good too even though it was only brief.
I’d say longer term he is an ideal replacement for Arona.
I think his best position will probably be as a 13 playing as an extra middle forward.
Hard work beats talent 90% of the time and he certainly has the ability and work ethic to have a good career in SL.

Was looking round before kick off thinking how many gaps there were in the crowd.
That was probably the only down side.
There were plenty of “regulars” in the North Stand that I’ve seen for the last god knows how many years that were absent which was a shame given the nature of the game on the field.
A good showing against Cas and I’d hope to break 5.5k for Leeds on the Bank Holiday Monday.
