No we don’t, we have two fullbacks and another two players who can play there. What don’t people get about this.

Max and Walker are fullbacks.
Gigot covers the whole backline
Hampshire considers himself a half back and is one of only 3 half backs so we'll need him there.

Max and walker are fullback rocky best ever rugby at full back and gigot is primarily a full back who can cover hallf back and centre as max can cover wing and half back as rocky can cover wing and half back add to this full back is where he wants to play the postion where he is most effective.

I'm not sure what your point is now. We both seem to be saying the same thing.

Indeed but only two are FB’s the other two are utility players, I really don’t understand what your not getting.
Is Arona a prop or a LF? He certainly started his career as a LF. If he is then according to your logic we have far too many LF’s. Arona, Westerman, Crowther, B Walker and even Tanginoa are all capable of playing that roll.
Or is it the case that actually the only specialist LF we have is Westerman, the others are more utility players who’ve mastered a number of positions - see Hampshire and Gigot as back line equivalents.
Hampshire most definitely isn’t a specialist FB regardless of whether you happen to think that’s his best position. Gigot started off as one but like Arona he now spends most of his time filling different rolls these days.

| Quote: vastman "Ok, we are getting nowhere, so my last word.
You said the rest of the SL squads had at least 6 specialist and experienced props, the list proves they don't, that's what's changed.
I honestly don't mind you not rating our Props/Middles, that's your opinion. What I had an issue with are the false numbers you gave. We are in a similar boat to just about everyone else except for Leigh, too whom the rest of SL is vastly superior on paper, at least for now. We start with as good a squad as most SL teams, including props. Not saying it's a winning team but I am saying the numbers stack up.
Have a happy new year
Heard this week we've enquired about James Harrison at Fev, even though we both had him in our Leeds squad. No idea how true it is, or if it's progressed further than that but I've not seen much of him so can't comment on his quality.
Happy New Year to you too.

| Has anyone seen an announcement that Mason Lino, has arrived in Wakefield. I only view the Trinity twitter pages, but nothing showing on there. I’m a little disappointed that the club’s media haven’t been more informative. I know there are some restrictions for meeting people, but I hope a club representative, met Mason, at which ever Airport he arrived. A media photo of his arrival and welcoming would have been good.
Happy new year to all.

Not sure what you’re worried about to be honest. Like all SL clubs I’m sure we are well versed in looking after overseas players.

I’m not worried Vasty, i said I’m a little disappointed we haven’t built up a bit of media interest of our new *overseas* signing.

I get your point but to be fair he’s a low key signing in truth. Sadly it would be a touch embarrassing to hype Mason, he may well prove a great signing but for now even Satchi and Satchi would struggle to make much mileage.
I’m happy for him and the whole team to slip in under the radar, we seem so much more at ease with that approach.
SL or certainly most fans including some of our own have totally forgotten how good we were two seasons ago. Let’s keep it that way and catch them out.
Imo very few signings put bums on seats at any club, the last signing Trinity made that did that was probably Lewis, even Solomona slipped through largely I noticed Mason is nowhere near one of those, in fact Battye is probably a bigger name.
Takes the pressure off the lad as well, over expectation can kill a career.

| Seem to remember pauli arriving and having his photo on the club Web site within hours.
The problem for me is I don't think the club have the slightest idea about promoting itself.

Sorry, don't really agree with that at all, in what way are they any different to any other club. Our social media presence is excellent, you can't make Look North or the YP interested in a player few are currently interested in. As noted on the Tom Allen thread it's success that sells not bull.
Sorry but for some reason, probably not intentional, you never seem to miss a chance to have a dig at the club, don't know why because the club has never been run better IMHO.
I have to ask, what exactly are your marketing credentials? I don't work directly in marketing but it is something I come into contact with on a very regular basis and I can tell you now, Trinity's social media is spot on with Conner Grace???. The shop and the merchandise are superb regardless of whether you prefer the old stuff. JM and MC are open, approachable and both are very good communicators both written and visual. What more do you want?
So in fairness please tell me where you think we are going wrong, I'd like to know because I can't see it.

| Vastman you are right the clubs probably run the best it's ever been.
However you walk round the city centre and you wouldn't know a rugby club even existed
The Tom Allen show shows a lack of marketing like it or not. I can not imagine any other RL club in any town taking a distant third place against a pie shop, cafe.
I have susesfully marked new products over a good number of years, however that was a good few years ago.
I do not look at the club through tinded specs and while I agree the clubs run financially well (thank god) I don't constantly blow smoke and feel 100% the club lacks the ambition and seems happy with its position in the RL world.
Finally
Unlike you Vastman I do not have an informed opinion on everything and don't feel the need to constantly blert out line after line of piffle in two identities.
Anyway have a great new year
