| It’s going to be a win one, lose one kind of season isn’t it? I’d be happy with that to be fair. Our best centre out for the season. No time frame on our best forward. Two of our three senior halfbacks out for a while.

| I think it just shows against the so called better opposition you can't really have a bad half. Yes Child didn't help as per usual, but apart from a couple, he got us penalised deservedly in the 1st half, but I will look closely on Trin tv whether Hull were that squeaky clean! Just like at Cas, a bad 40 mins is virtually impossible to turn around and come out on top. Even when we beat Warrington we were dodgy the 1st half. If we can get a good controlling the game for 60 minutes, we have the firepower to hurt teams, and it showed last night real depth, and options. Great effort boys, it was a real sickener to lose that way.

I don’t know if it’s the modern athlete collision stress syndrome Willzay, but I remember when nearly all our players were out of condition, loved a beer, without disrespecting them, a lot were fat as well, but they very rarely missed a game, and the money was crap!
As you say Wakey are without players, you could make a team out of the players missing or injured in both Hull clubs, and now these injuries seem to last forever.

It's not so much the decisions he gives against us but the ones you don't get when the opposition do the exact same thing. There's a word for it.... Ah yes, cheating

Up to last night I'd agree with you (Arundal you're referring to no doubt) but Atkins has lost none of his class and his name would be one of the first on the teamsheet for me. LYne had a good game as well!

| While I think a lot of us has mentioned Childs performance more than our own, notably when Hull were offside a lot, why do we not try the chip over the top sometimes when games are going this way. It may just put the opponents on the back foot a little, and create a bit of doubt in their defensive line

Maybe so.
It used to be a tactic we used with two half backs, cant remember which duo. One chipped over top, the other following up, and then passing to a supporting player.

Last time I saw us do a proper kick and chase straight from a scrum was Goulding kicking long for Paul Sampson. Remember Grix kicking over on 1st tackle at Cas and Cas collecting ball and opening the scoring.

Just expanding on that idea, I do frequently think that we could benefit from "thinking outside the box" a bit more, such as taking a quick drop-out when we have knocked the ball dead. At the moment everyone see's it as an opportunity to get some air back in the lungs having just defended a set of 6 and runs the shot-clock right down. Why not get everyone on side asap then bang it into touch while the opposition are still jogging back into position, or alternatively let them get set in their usual positions on the 10 metre line and halfway line and only kick it 15-20 metres for one of our speedsters to run onto and try and collect ??
Nothing ventured....nothing gained !!

| A lot on here are against him but those are the type of things I’d expect from Brough!
I actually said to me old man at the game at a point in the second half we had a scrum in our 20 and Shaul was up in the line...all it needed was a long punt down field and a luck of the bounce because if it was pre planned you’d basically have had Johnstone up against Fonua who would have had to have turned and started from a standing start!

| Just because kicking straight from the scrum is an old fashioned idea it doesnt mean its a bad play especially with a speedy winger think last time wakey did it was when brough kicked through against catalans about 8 years ago
