Listened on radio only - it seems that were penalizedout of game in the first 50 mins- not sure if it was a case of our discipline or a home team ref display which I am tipping - the so called BIG teams always seem to get the 50/50 calls.
watching the highlights our defense was shocking.......
our Attack not been brilliant all season and we need to step it up to compete with the big clubs.
3rd now - still would have taken that at start of season though.
must win now against widnes.'"
You do realise that there are only 5 games played so far don't you - how far clear of 9th would you expect us to be???
We're only 2 points away from 1st.

More like #Casfanindisguise
or #waitingtostickthebootin
If we can do a job on Widnes, everything is good.
Not too many sides will go to Wigan and come away with the points.
Fortress Belle Vue with some victories on the road is plenty good enough.
Bring on the Chemics !

| We won't win every game. No one does. We could lose eight games and make the four! If you looked at the fixture list, you would tick Wigan away as one of the likely losses. Yesterday is no big deal at all. We're winning the games we should be winning, and that is something we never used to do. We used to get in trouble in years gone by because we'd beat Saints away or something but then lose all the four-pointers. Win the games we ought to win, and get the occasional unexpected win and we'll be just fine.

What about Arsenal in the 2003/04 season?
Jokes aside I agree with the rest of your statement.

I think this nicely summarises what the level headed fans feel.

| Pleasantly surprised yesterday, the way your pack has beaten us up on the last few meetings I was fearing the worst.
I sit behind the goals so couldn't comment on the forward pass decisions or the Escare offside call, no idea if they were right or wrong.
Overall an enjoyable match made better with the result, injuries dependent I think both teams will be there or thereabouts.

I thought you edged yesterday and were well on top for a good chunk of the 2nd half. Your interchanges seemed to have the greater impact as well.
Question for you though - are you buying there were 11000+ in the stadium yesterday because it looked very sp

Down to earth just in time for another 4 pointer crucial game v Widnes.
Save me some money not getting the 2 Monday morning rugby papers for the 1st time this season.
A man after my own heart, that was the only downside to last season. Cost me a small fortune.

| Quote: Adam_Harrison9 "Hope it was okay. I landed at Manchester Airport from Dublin at 1.45pm after a half hour delay. The train I had booked from Manchester to Wigan was cancelled and had to get a 60 quid taxi from the airport direct to the stadium to make the game on time. The main broadcaster, Ben, who had all the equipment was stuck at Manchester Piccadilly because of that protest that occurred and couldn't get a train to Wigan so I literally had to do the commentary by myself from a mobile phone an hour after landing from a stag weekend in Dublin. Hope it sounded alright for people.'"
..if the Sky team can get away commentating over the phone (Catalans v HKR on Saturday) then you have nothing to worry about Adam

No chance, I think they count season ticket holders whether they turn up or not, I'd have guessed 8/9000ish.

| Quote: 4foxsake "I was proud of the boys performance yesterday Wigan is a hard place for any side to go and win. I disagree with all the key board warriors claiming Trinity’s bubble has burst, we were competitive throughout the 80 and had the officiating been of a higher standard the result would have been closer. Wigan edged it for me as they seemed to be able to shift the ball to the winger much more quickly than we could. That said, they got key calls from the ref at crucial times which clearly influenced the game. Tony Clubb should have seen yellow at the minimum, a closed fist swinging arm to the head is bad enough, but to then drop on the player after is disgraceful play.'"
10 minutes at the least, watch it on Trinity tv, definitely some strange calls in the second half.

| The result and tough calls on the 2 forward passes were hard to take even though I thought Wigan just about shaded the game overall. I think their professionalism knocked us from our game for a time in the 2nd half, Tomkins and O'Loughlin were in Kendall's ear virtually the whole time, Grixy's knee in the back, the shot on Miller, the disallowed tries, you sensed it just wasn't gonna be our day. They ran in a few cheap tries in the meantime and it's a mountain to climb but credit to our boys for trying to get back in the game.
Well done to the numpty who pelted our bus on the way back, think it was eggs, never known anyone do that when they've won?
Onwards to Widnes at home, let's get back on track.
