| The next shirt that he'll be wearing that isn't ours will hopefully be an England one in Denver later this year.

| 22s very young to up sticks and join an Australian team. I'm sure tom could manage it but I have no idea of his personal circumstances
Its not even the sort of situation you are likely to get a definite answer too . At the moment I'm sure he would probably be better staying put working hard and improving . I have no doubt if any justice will be done he should be pulling on his international shirt before to long.
Its interesting the number of players who have taken the chance of playing in Australia only to return after a relatifly short spell.
Tom would probably benifit from a stind down under, I just hope its a couple of seasons off. The only question that remains is whats his value should he want to go.

| If its the price of a stadium and Toms willing to go I would suggest we wrap him up in cotton wool and escort him to the airport.

It probably was him who he banned mate, the post I believe he was referring to was this post that I saw before it was edited with a name on the end. That's why I asked the question I did afterward to make sure.

You might be right, plenty of players might of refused contracts to play in the NRL but the offers won't keep on coming for the rest of his career. There will come a point where he's not seen as the player he is now and they'll look for younger, more talented players.
If there was an option to start a poll on this page I think it would outline this with a simple "yes or no" reply - Put yourself in the shoes on a 22 year old, offered a very hefty salary, in a new and warmer country to play in the best league in the world. I can't see the answer being anything other than yes. Look at the likes of Sarginson and Joe Burgess, he could be back within a year but at least he got the experience of doing it. It's not often you see players at the back end of their career heading over to the NRL like you see in Super League.'"
I agree it might be very attractive to play in the top comp and experience the other side of the world but on the other hand, considering is age and experience I'd be looking what at happened to Joe Burgess as a bit of a warning about going over a bit too young imo. He was killing it before he went, struggled to get a spot, changed teams and hasn't come back quite the same player like most players seem to do for some reason.

| Sam Tompkins being another example, on the top of the world when he went down under. Came back riddled with injuries and obviously not even the same ball park as before. On the other hand if I were in TJ’s boots and a good deal was on the table, I’d be on the next plane to Aus !!

That's different in that his family moved.
I would imagine the Burgess twin that went at under 18 to Rabbitohs?

| To be perfectly honest, TJ doesn't strike me as a likely target for anyone right now with only one season of full on SL and coming off a serious injury that put him out for a year, heck...he isn't even back yet, nobody is.
The only likely scenarios I can rationalize are-..actually "rationalize" is stretching it a bit, but anyway..
A. the domestic offers for TJ are 8ull5hit
B. the Australian based offers for TJ are 8ull5hit
Double 8ull5hit cancels itself out though , so......Leeds on dual reg with Brisbane???
and HKR to win the GF

| Taking the p155 if you ask me, and the codheads, Leeds have the game to play, not ideal during the domestic season I know, but it is what it is.

| Well Hull have apparently made about 500k from it so I'd absolutely love it if we got the chance to do something like that.
