| Bad news. Stability is what's lacking at this club and now it seems we are reverting back to lurching from one crisis to another. Dickins being in charge ain't going help change the club's fortunes.
Smith was the best coach we could hope to have, anyone else will be a step down. Morrison looks like he has the potential to make a decent coach so I'd look at him, although Dewsbury played hard ball last time.
I've no doubt Carter is only interested on getting his money back which is fair enough for someone who isn't a fan. He runs a tight ship and the club is in a much healthier state financially so there are benefits to this.

Agree with most of that Khlav, but with regards to the benefits from being financially better off, you have to ask for how much longer ??
The squad we have, although larger than last season has so far failed to improve on last season's performances/results, and we don't look like doing so any time soon, there has been next to no improvement off the pitch with regards to the ground/facilities/Newmarket, and if MC is either unwilling or unable to put further finances into the club, or find someone who can, then it is only a matter of time before we do get relegated and go bust.
I hate to be so pessimistic, but where are the positives in all this ??

What kept us in SL was the fact the championship teams were worse than us.

Be careful what you wish for, we might get a lunatic Italian that wants to pick the team!

| Absolutely fuming - no other words for it. Just like James Webster, he's got no bottle. Get Gelnn Morrison in pronto.
If he left because of a lack funds, perhaps he shouldn't have squandered it on players like Tansey and Yates.

The stupid system kept us in superleague and a 23 match pre season to get ready for the million pound game

| Maybe we could do a deal with Batley or Dewsbury where they take some of our excess players as a contra deal to a coach.
No question, Scruton and Anderson do look like they would struggle to break wind and who would want them?
We have Gibson, Tansey, Lyne and Sio who are just average before you go any deeper.
A steady and experienced hand is now needed. What a shambles, the thing is, you say you couldn't write it but you can with Wakey.
We are saving on Smith's wages and he would not have been cheap.
Chris Chester is probably not in the best frame of mind after being sacked.
It probably will be Harrison, Kear or Morrison.
Can't wait for Friday.
Clearly, 3 homes games from the first 10 is not good for financial planning.

| How come all of a sudden this thread has turned into a Michael Carter slagathon? It's BS that's resigned, he's not been sacked, everyone assumes it's MC's fault, I'm guessing the reasons will never come out fully. Maybe just maybe the players had a word and he got a vote of no confidence? How about the rumour's that BS is a bully at training (which incidentally after talking to BS a few times I find hard to believe.) and only picks his favourites? There could be a hundred things, so I think we'll be better waiting till the dust settles to point fingers.
And give the job to Karl Harrison? Another backward step, he's now an agent, leave him well out of the equation.

Can't imagine your 'excess' players agreeing to walk away from their full time Super League contracts, drop down a division, take a massive pay drop, go part time and have to find a 'normal' job.

| He was probably frightened of drawing Lock Lane or Fev Lions in the next round of the challenge cup.
