| Anybody remember Richard Field who bent the beer pumps over the wrong way after an argument with the barman in the Talbot and Falcon, used to see him regularly kick off when he'd had a dozen pints or so, secret was not to get in his way when he started cos nobody was safe, it was quite funny watching half a dozen or more coppers and dogs trying to control him and get him in the van.

| Yeah reading the previous few posts there's no doubt Wakefield had it share of absolute a.......s!
I cannot stand the ones who get tanked up and turn their pointless violence on others, many of whom cannot defend themselves. The two mentioned were well up towards the top of the list.

| Quote: The Avenger "Street house lot during the early 80s were nowt but a gang of bullies, not a tough one on one fighter amongst the lot of them. Their disgusting and cowardly assault on the two young lads outside the Wakey Pride showed them up for the morons they were.
They got their just deserts the night everyone with a grievance was sat waiting for them in the Strafford and for once they were outnumbered by the lads they chose to pick on.
They got a right battering and that was that for their tinpot reign of terror.'"
Kevin Heaton got his head jumped on by the above people outside the Pride, knocked about with us from Crigg,Painthorpe and Hall Green.Ended up in a wheel chair with brain damage for the rest of his life.Hard as nails they were

| Quote: lampyboy "Story goes he shot 2 prison officers with an air rifle on Westgate.
He used to drink in Ossett and on one occasion picked an argument with a number of lads who gave him a good thumping and left him propped up against the wall outside the pub.
He once went to a pub in Gawthrop e one Sunday lunch and tried to bully the Sunday drinkers. He got irate the police came and carted him off.
Another story says he bit a guys ear off in a wake pub.'"
Did a bit off bouncing on the Railway Tavern door in Ossett.
