| Bizarre, way to further reduce the gate. 3pm Saturday pretty much clashes with most football fixtures. Why not the regular game day of Sunday?

I'm guessing because we won't be able to play on Sundays next year as that's when our landlord will be playing so we will be testing Saturdays out.

[iChairman, Michael Carter has spoken about the choice of Saturday games, explaining, “We have chosen Saturday fixtures for two reasons. The first is that we want to have a minimum of a six day turnaround if not seven days between our fixtures. This will be extremely beneficial to get the best out of our team over the seven rounds. Secondly, is to get an appetite of how popular Saturday fixtures will be for the future purposes.”[/i
Thr first reason doesn't make a great deal of sense as the way the away games fall it would would have been at least 6 days between games if played on the sunday anyway. In fact it actually shortens the gap between the Hull KR game and the home game against Widnes. So i would say the main reason is to test the water regarding playing saturdays from next year, possibly with an eye to leaving Belle Vue.

| Aren't Sky televising a fixture of the middle 8 competition every Saturday? At least we won't be changed at short notice when the Sky planners sense blood.

| How are you lot feeling re the 8's? Have you improved much since Salford beat you at Belle Vue in Brian Smith first game, or much of the same?

I know a couple of Wakey supporting Barnsley season ticket holders and it clashes with 2 of their home games as well.
I'll miss one of the games because of a wedding, which is another consideration when thinking about what day to play given a lot of these and other events happen on saturdays in summer.

| Here we go again!
Let's find a date and time that does not clash with Barnsley,Leeds Utd, Cas , Feath, Yorkshire Cricket, Man U on telly, dead heading the roses.
I watch Leeds, Yorkshire Cricket and garden and go fell walking ,but Trinity take priority at the moment.

Watched Barnsley since 1978, the year was 2006, the venue was the Millenium Stadium Cardiff, the game was Barnsley v Swansea in the Div1 play off final which we won on pens' after extra time, was I there? nah, I was in perpignan getting sun burned and drunk at the Rah Rah ground watching Wakefield getting skanked again by that bent get Kirkpatrick aided by one of the chuckle bros' (Connelly's) so some of us get our priorities right

Difference being i'd imagine your trip to perpignan was booked and paid for a long time before you knew Barnsley were going to be in the play off final. Not quite the same as deciding between going to Beele Vue and missing the football or using your football season ticket and watch the rugby on sky later!

I don't think they have picked the final 3 sky games yet have they? Whilst the date won't change the time might.
