You are maybe reading me wrong. If we don't train, we will get hammered. I'm querying why we are so affected. Why are we so decimated by injuries? Is it poor conditioning?

What Webster is incapable of doing is managing a crisis. He has thrown in the towel. That is no way to sell tickets and no way to motivate anyone. It doesn't motivate me to give up a summer afternoon and twenty quid.

Yes neil the conditioning is an absolute farce. So much to say it's probably one of the worst in years of sl. Clawson has been mocked by previous players for his lack of qualifications and nothing has been done about it, he's been robbing a living since he joined us and I'm. Sure jonh will tell you the same if he's still using these forums. Second part that bothers me is webbo hae nobody to help him with any coaching experience. Dickens finished playing a few years ago and Gilmour even more recently. This should have been addressed pre season even at the expense of a player or 2

The injury excuse has got to stop though.
Heard and read at least 3 coaches saying they haven't fully trained over the Easter period. Watching the "highlights" on sky to say the defence is shambolic is an understatement it's all flailing arms and powder puff efforts. Not just the usual suspects smith , miller ,Reilly but forwards as well. I absolutely despair watching SL on sky watching good well drilled sides playing competitive rugby, then having to trail down to BV to watch rubbish with a coach who it now seems can't be bothered.

Webster said "maybe" we should concentrate on getting players fit for the last games in response to discussing the injuries.
He didn't say they were not going to try and play well.
Clearly the 80-0 score line is demoralizing for both supporters and players but personally I'd stick it out a bit longer.

That performance today was disgusting…no motivation/enthusiasm looked totally unfit and out of condition. If Webster does go then the back room staff need to go as well imo. Infact I think the the back room as a lot to answer for. Jarrod Sammut has had the chance to prove himself and has failed, I totally agree with Websters decision not to pick him, he simply is not interested and looks like he does not want to be here. Cant make my mind up what is wrong, We know all about the injury crisis but that does not excuse the players that take the field looking like a team of amateurs!!

This team under the present regime will not finish in the Top 5 in the 'Middle 8' so any thoughts of even being involved in the Million Pound Game are laughable.

I'm going very much against my previous thinking now but bear with me.
Webster may not win many prizes for diplomacy with the RFL but, given the situation Trinity are in regards finances and squad depth/quality, isn't he just stating the obvious truth? A truth that the RFL might have foreseen.
Which is most important for the club's survival? To go all out to win every game with a set of busted players, end up in the middle 8 still with busted players, narrowly lose the million pound match and go in to the Championship ie. the plucky losers?
OR - possibly lose a few hundred fans from the gate for the next 13 rounds but go in to the Qualifiers with a fit, stable squad who can, more likely, do the job and retain SL status?
Financially, it's much better to be in SL than the Champs and it gives us a chance to recover and rebuild for the next SL season. Webster's comments may seem naive to me but MC may well be backing the strategy for purely financial and survival reasons. Let's face it, we all expected to be in the bottom four anyway. Would we rather be in the bottom four with some chance of survival or in the bottom four with a lot less chance of survival?
In some ways it's just the same as in the old play off structure where the accusation was made that top teams could coast for most of the season and just come in to form at the play offs. Now - yes every moment matters for those teams from 4th to 10th, but for us, Webster's right, the moments that matter are after the split.
Not that I'm happy with being SL whipping boys but it does make sense and cheer me up ever so very slightly!

It's not only about the injury list, there is a complete lack of structure and worse, desire!

That's not down to injuries, I don't subscribe to the idea that not being able to practice with a full 17 equates to the lackadaisical, error strewn, unmotivated and spiritless performances either

The thing is Poptart the team we put out should not have lost by 80.0 , thats an amateurish display. Our defence is laughable and has been all season so far, we are incapable of putting the opposition down wether it be one on one or 3/4 men in the tackle. Why have we no aggression ? why are we so soft ? Is it the players who are lazy or is it a fitness/conditioning problem or coaching . Whatever we cannot do nothing at all.

But don't forget that the bottom two play four of the seven games away and that would make it even harder especially if Leigh and Bradford finish top two and Wakey play them away.

How could we rebuild with the strategy you put forward?
What player, sponsor or any new fan would want to join a club with such a lack of ambition; I certainly wouldn't.

disgrace i am sick of hearing the old record we have no money its all i have bloody heard for 40 years the fact is this great club has being run by clowns since the mid 70s for me somebody must come in who knows how to run a club and get investment in if not i would not be unhappy to see the club wound up and consigned to the history books at least we could grieve and move on instead of visting an old freind on life support with no hope of recovery
