| Quote: jack in the box "I disagree slightly. With the recent deal regarding the freezer plant we are much closer. The problem being is that the 106 agreement only provides £9M in funding.
We could therefore be very near to starting construction of a small stadium that could be developed and improved at a later date. However if you want to make sure all the funding is in place for a 12K stadium then yes you are correct this could be a while before sufficient financial resources are gathered.
With what was suggested last night I would prefer a start on a stadium to fit the £9M budget and then look to improve.'"
It's the freezer plant deal that has lead to me revising my time scale down to an optimistic 5 years, without that the area would have remained green and pleasant land for many, many years. There is a large shortfall even with it though and this will take time to fill unless a very wealthy person wants to sink a large amount of their own money into the project.
Building it in stages isn't feasible either really, the overall cost of building it piecemeal will be much higher and a smaller stadium with less facilities would not be financially viable to run in the meantime. It would end up like like Owl Lane stadium, part built for ever more, yet the rent for us would have to be higher to cover the upkeep as other planned income streams would be affected.
We also need to be in superleague for the financial forecasts to be acheivable, which make us supposedly siding with Leeds and supporting the RFL's proposals a little strange. With the best will in the world we are going to be in a major struggle next season and relegation would be a ground as well as a club killer. It's not just the turkeys voting for xmas, it's them basting themselves, lighting the oven and hopping in.

| Quote: RebelRebel "Why do you think that?
What benefit could there be to Leeds in siding with the RFL against the other SL clubs? It's not as if they won't be one of the top 10, or however many are desired in a new SL set-up. If they wanted us as a feeder club, surely the easiest way to achieve this would be by voting with the majority? I'm not getting at you, I just don't get it.'"
Wouldn't know why for sure but I know Gary Hethrington holds a lot of influence over the 'leaders' at Redhall. I guess he can see that ebbing away in front of his eyes should they get ousted in favour of a superleague run by the top clubs chairman.

| Well time for another bout of honesty, did we stand with Leeds against the rest of SL if not then the matter is closed. If we did can you explain why because I would be very interested because I can see no reason.
I suppose you could say it was because they gave us an advance on our sky money but they did more for Bradford and I have not read any indication that they supported the RFL plan. The problem at the moment is that you appear to be very quiet on this subject when you would normally have denied it by now.

| The last round of voting was a few month ago wasn't it (I could be wrong) ? The vote siding with the RFL might have done by AG.

maybe some of us think about the good of the game as a whole and are not blinkered to the fact there is only superleague. I would say Gary H is one of those people and commend him for it. So the superleague 12 who voted for it how do they see things like the Challenge cup continuing etc ? will they start with 14 and then bit by bit lose teams such as London, Bulls , us and be left with 10 who then play each other so many times the fans & sponsors get bored. Im with the RFL lets safeguard THE GAME

I'm in whole hearted agreement until the last bit.
They have done everything in their incapable and incompitent powers to reduce the game to where it is today.
We need change and for the good of the game and the RFL- and it needs to be quick, what we don't want though is myopic chairmen intent on furthering their own clubs at the expense of the game in general running the show.
Sadly we have such a skills vacuum at Red Hall that may well lead to the latter becoming a reality.

| Gary H can take the moral high ground because I doubt Leeds are going to face relegation unfortunately Kath H can't. Why have we not heard from MC in reply to my questions I would think quite a few supporters would like this clearing up.

| The biggest problem, as I see it, is that SL chairmen / club owners own SL Europe, one 14th each. In general they vote on self interest only. With the exception on Caddick / Hethrington and Ian Lenagan who seem to have had the interest of the whole game in mind over past seasons. They have run their clubs very well and must look at the other club owners and think you incompetant idiots. For 16 or so years SL clubs have been given £ 1.3 million p.a. by Sky and they have blown the lot on players wages. Why would we want these people making decisions about the game as a whole. Ian Lenagan took Wigan over 4 or 5 years ago when they turned over £ 3 million and lost £ 1 million, now thet turn over £ 6 million and make a profit, they produce the best players. I dont think SL club owners should get a vote on anything to do with the games until they can show that they can run their own club. I would much rather the RFL co op successfull club owners onto the RFL board and run the game.

| Agent - why don't you ask via email to the clubs website on Thursday instead of nagging MC on here !!
Do you really expect him to answer every one of your issues / questions ??
We as fans aren't entitled to know everything regarding how the club runs or in this case votes.
It'll be so much better to leave them be and just concentrate on how we can help individually and in numbers.
Anything of significance will be published so cut him some slack !!

On one hand you say that he's saying too much, then moan when he doesn't answer your questions.
You really are a quandary.

More than quite a few supporters are probably as peed off as MC is no doubt, at your constant whining Mrs.

Interesting to who?
You need to re-set your consistency filter.
