Simple maths to me. Sell 4000 season tickets. Realises 1000 x max £180 = £180,000 max to invest in new players. On current valuations, that would buy a Kyle Amor, a Tim Smith and a Ben Cockayne, or if they are available free it would pay their wages.

The talk should be how can we encourage people to buy them, not about life in the championship

But it's NOW they need the ticket sales so they can build a squad, not after Christmas unfortunately when there are no players left to sign

The people running the club have one way they think will sell tickets. I have my doubts but good luck to them.

We know what we need to do, we know the target for ST holders, but what seemingly looks to be lacking is a plan and implementation. I'm fully behind those in charge, and I understand they had to make drastic cuts. We need to be selling, whether it's players, board members, coaches, volunteers etc. We need emails, phone calls, flyers, post, days out, in schools etc.

We need to be influencing those sitting on the fence, ST's won't sell themselves

MC said at the meeting last Monday that we just haven't got enough staff to do the chasing round and what you are saying sort of confirms this.
I think you may have to persuade them !

not all are going to like you jinjer some will need to be persuaded to keep on board one last time, and hope that are future will ultimately be bright in these dark times, we have been thru a lot in the last 10 years tbh and a lot see this as final straw and can not take this again, we have to persuade them to do it one last time get on board the bus of Wakefield trinity wildcats again and we can stay a super league team with there help, I wasn't convinced at first and as daddy cool will confirm as he was in davide longos office when I called to cancel I couldn't go thru it again, but I was convinced to change my mind and have committed to 360 package and hope others do same, if I can be convinced that we either help the club I and others love I sure others can as well and ultimately get out of this mess one last time but this time for good, heres hoping

I agree, but it's still good to contact those who haven't renewed and try and find out why if they haven't.

Not everyone will know the details of last weeks meeting where MC said that we needed 3000 season ticket holders and then we could run with the squad we have, any more being spent on players.

Perhaps a phone call to those people who are not aware will help them make their minds up.

I think the directness and frankness of MCs portrayal of the situation has been a breath of fresh air and i think it will go along way in motivating the hardcore to dig in for another scrap.
The over riding spin of it though to those "less in the know" seems to one of negativity and doom and gloom (reading the rl press and local press and talking to supporters and local people) and these are the ones we now need to get back involved with the club and get spending.
Those of us that want to take a broader view know the score, is it not time to start getting a good positive marketing strategy together that (without misleading supporters) starts to paint a positive picture and one that encourages those supporters who aren't presently backing the club to do so?
I'm no media expert but i do/have done some marketing work and in my experience i would imagine a large proportion of the support of this club is waiting for some good news to start trickling from the club.
Honesty is without question the best policy, but some consistent good spin would do a lot for our bank balance surely.

You bang on Kinley

Before AG took over we had around 1000 s/t holders ?
Obviously with the cheap ticket deal, this number increased dramatically but, the additional 3000 have only had s/t for a couple of seasons and without the cheap tickets, many of them will simply revert to paying on the gate.
I think that we are being naïve to expect everyone to just renew their tickets because we are in difficulty.
There does need to be some sort of good news to encourage people to buy and although the promise of SL next season is enough for the diehards to buy early, this simply wont work for the less committed fans.

I'll add something further.
If anyone follows shares and share prices, you only need to watch the effect of good and bad news on them to realise how much of a posative or negative impact news, or bad feeling can have on them.
Good news = improved price and often unfounded substance (perhaps how things were under AG?)

Bad news = price fall and can lead to business failure through lack of finance.

Shouldn't we be positioning ourselves somewhere in the middle pushing up and giving ourselves every chance to turn this club around?

Get the players to call the non renewals, imagine receiving a call from Aiton or Big Ali when you hadn't decided, after 5 mins chatting to them I reckon plenty would be persuaded.

Sweat the asset must also include the players.
