Have altered. 99% of Salford fans are totally sympathetic about your situation but that 1% could start a row in an empty ballroom.
Really hope things improve for you but concerned about KH/RA axis now.

If it's free fair enough but if not it makes no sense. If we ever end up paying for it, we need to find other ways of raising exposure in City Centre as losing money on a shop is daft

| How many people were calling for the club to have a shop in town to raise the profile of the club about 18months ago.
Now it's a really bad idea and we should go back to the ground. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
The problem is a lot of fans want champagne but only earn beer money.

So what would you suggest? What are city centres usually filled with (other than drunks)?

| i still think we need a presence in the city centre.
we did a bit of deal with the gym, so there may be mileage there for an area or partnership.
here is hoping that kath gets her little black book out.....

It's the Wakefield District where exposure is needed through the schools, community centres, rugby clubs etc we there is a population of over 300,000 rather than 76,000 just in Wakefield City. 23,000 people alone live in the Stanley/Outwood area outside of the city.

Kath as CEO... bet RA's chuffed... did he know before he signed?'"
As sure as night follows day. At Hull, when we wanted RA sacked, I think she was the one who offered him a new two year contract which he signed April Fools Day.
Genuinally hope your fortunes turn around though.

| During the meeting was the question raised regarding the nightmare scenario?
By that I mean if the club, in its current guise, was to go belly up & the Administrators were appointed.
If someone came in last minute ala Glover, would those at the top table like to hazard a guess as to if season tickets would be honored ala Glover, under a new regime?
I suppose I could half answer my own question & say, some people are prepared to take a punt just to keep the club afloat. Many however will think twice about splashing out a reasonable amount of money, when there’s no guarantee of seeing a single game for it!

| More positive of our future after tonight's meeting, Kath Hetherington is a good appointment knows her RL and has good contacts. We need to support the club more than ever, good to hear everything is positive regarding Newmarket.

I couldn't agree more. I get pretty frustrated when I hear the likes of the skysports idiots and people who don't know the area talking as though it is a tiny little town with no potential, and we ought to just merge and belt up. There is so much untapped potential but we never seem to have truly tapped it, though, albeit stimulated by the discredited cheap tickets, we have seen the potential support, if only we ever had a bunch who could run an RL club

| Basic premise
Sell more season tickets
Join foxy bingo
Join lottery
Kath hetherington is consultant CEO
Sam Tompkins sold for 750k
Rangi chase sold for 111k
Tim smith sold for 70k
Amor sold for 50k, Hudds rang up saying he wanted to sign for them but in reality he wanted to sign for saints
Main point. We still have a club in super league next season, agar signed new 3 yr deal and he is in aus looking for a half back.
Missed anything? Oh yeah, cost me a tenner to spend a penny!!!

I was just offering an opinion on the query made about RA's contract extension. It is a forum after all!
Funny you don't like visitors? Can't ever remember someone refusing my money at the gate when visiting Belle Vue before. Presume you'll be looking for Hull/Leeds/Other fans to swell your gate receipts next season?
