| Cannot see anything wrong with it.
Why are people being so pious?
Is it any different to gambling on the lottery, the pools, or the odd bet on the geegees?
Oh yes,it is, Trinity get something out of it.
I do not usually gamble on anything ,but will make an exception here for my beloved Trinity.
I remember the trinity scratch cards sold in pubs quite a while ago, they too were an exception for me.

See that's the problem, it is a good deal and a good idea. So why kill something that would sell itself. He's basically massively overhyped about it's importance and thus put peoples backs up and turned them against something they should like.
Very poor Mr Glover, we are generally enthusiastic but not stupid please don't treat us as such.

| I agree with some on here that, if this is it, then it is not quite what I was hoping it would be. I suppose what we all hope for is somebody actually putting some money into the club - REAL money. These schemes involving supporters are short term fixes, which in the long term fizzle out-that's if it ever kicks off because I for one am not interested.
I am forever grateful that AG pulled us out of possible extinction but I feel if we are pursuing schemes like this then we're never going to climb out of mediocrity. I remember the great lottery scheme - past chariman Trevor Woodwards' baby, was going to be the end of all our money problems - it came to an end because supporters don't stick with schemes were they constantly have to pay good money for no results!

| Quote: Slugger McBatt "That's probably about right. He's a salesman. Everyone is now aware of the deal. Just expect to be underwhelmed by any "big news", but from his point of view, you are aware of it. That's what counts in advertising.'"
Sorry but as someone who works in advertising he's created negative publicity out of what could easily have been sold well. The saying "any publicity is good publicity" is utter crap as any ad man will tell you.

| I agree it was over-hyped but nevertheless subscribed today and glad that the team have got £50 from it. Get off your high horses and try and help the club's finances.

I know he's done a lot for us... but does he think we are stupid? from twitter it sounded like the whole back team had been working hard making this deal happen, when they actually haven't had to do a thing. Also making us buy a programme... only to have a small paragraph about it doesn't seem professional and i know a few of us actually feel ripped off.'"
My thoughts exactly.
Another poster has mentioned that this is a deal available to ALL Super League clubs and following the link proves this to be true, there is a code for each team! I can't imagine each club having to work very hard to get included in this deal, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a sweetener for the 'Foxy Bingo Super League'

But that's the flippin point, some won't and that's his fault. I will, annoyed though I am by being patronised but some folk don't need much of an excuse.
If it were the first time I'd not even be joining in, but he's done it a few times now and must surely be aware it's grinding.
It's like the boy who cried wolf. One day hopefully he will have some earth shattering good news and no one will bother to turn up.

| Quote: Khlav Kalash "If people were expect something massive the recent history would suggest your setting yourself up for a let down. What AG has done is create a bit of anticipation for something, encouraged people who ordinarily would not have bought a program and perhaps enticed a few mote people to an arguably unattractive cup game. He's selling a product and bigging it up, that's what he does. Take the tweets with a pinch of salt and let him get on with it.'"
Spot on. In his initial tweet he said partnership, so it was always going to be something of this kind rather than investment etc, so I'm not too sure why people feel so upset about it but I suppose each to their own.
I'd be more worried if he wasn't trying to hype, market and sell the club to fans.

| The club should get people to come in to the education suite with all the computers set up to sign up and the club pay the tenner. That would guarantee a 100 percent take up and they would still be 40 quid per person better off
