That piece smacks of being a shot across the bows for the Leeds players, and his defence of Brian McD is perhaps a message to them that he won't be dictated to by 'player power.'
I'm not sure what their situation is with players on/off contract, but I can't realistically see him ditching players who are within contract in anything other than a controlled manner i.e by allowing other clubs to talk to them and releasing them without a fee - he's too tight/canny to risk being sued by players for breach of contract.
I do fear for Amor though - with Peacock a shadow of his former self, Kylie dropping to bits, Kirke a pudding, Griffin unspectacular and Richie Moore being, d'ya know, Richie Moore, I expect they'll be looking to bring Kyle back, along with Ambler; I'm not sure Kyle has a choice in it but if he does, let's hope he's developed enough affection for the club to want to come with us to NM and see what we can build.
