Quote: bren2k "The side-effects of HGH include a protruding brow, enlarged jaw (resulting in gaps between teeth) and big hands.

Sound familiar?

A friend of mine is an ex pro player; he tells me with certainty that use of HGH is rife within RL and has been since the early 90's - his view is that if every player using it was banned, there wouldn't be enough players left to stage a round of SL games.'"

I can see those outsanding configurations in many players, be that at local, big or international teams cant you?

Quote: HullFC50 "Pretty poor set up then if the Chairperson of a club doesn't have any idea that a player has been suspended then subsequently banned for said player's involvement with a banned substance.'"

That's not what I said s it?
There's nothing in any of the statements that says Kath Hetherington knew about the drug taking before the positive test was revealed and there's nothing to suggest that, once she knew, she was in any way part of the cover up.

What the Hull FC statement seems to suggest is that they weren't made aware of the impendinding investigation and for that reason they are disappointed in the former Chairpersons actions.

It's not rocket science!

I can see an rfl fine being imposed, but Adam Pearson wont take it lightly. The threat of legal action against Kath Hetherington is a huge possibility also.

Quote: wakeyrule "Terry Newton took the stuff to prolong his career. If you read about the benefits of taking growth hormone (which cannot be condoned as a short cut to fat-loss/muscle gain) it promotes healing, improves strength and endurance, burns fat, increases mental alertness and speed of thought and so on. That doesn't make it right - but he knew he was finished without it, and that desperation must have clouded his judgement.

The trouble with slimming world and other conventional weight loss plans is that they affect athletic performance - you are deliberately witholding nutrients from the body.

I feel desparately sorry for anybody caught in that situation - and Gleeson probably fits the bill. The likes of Dwayne Dibley who use it purely to gain competitive advantage are low down cheats. The likes of TN were never going to get back to the top of their profession, but were desparate to stay in it.'"
sorry mate you got that wrong. can't agree with you there. gleeson has been up to his eyes in crap for years. first thing smithy did at warrington was to get rid of his brother and then him. warrington underperformed for years because of crap like this and other things. it took smithy to sort it out. anyone that knows him will tell you that he has a no prisoners approach. i said months ago when there was talk of gleeson coming to wakey that crap would follow. i don't care what anybody says, i can tell you for sure most people at fc knew exactly what was happening. i don't believe in bleeding hearts. these people if let get away with it will ruin the game. most decent professional rl players that i associate with hate druggies and the lot believe testing should be done monthly on all top flight players and any found guilty should be bounced out of the game permanent to make room for the decent boys that want to come through.

Where did I indicate what you said, I merely commented on your post. Hull FC was run as a very tight ship (news wise) amongst the heirachy hence the reason for my comment.

You replied directly to my post and had somehow misconstrued what I'd said so I corrected you!

without being confrontational If you knew anything at all about Hull FC then you would know that Kath Hetherington ran the club full stop....and James Rule was simply one of her 'Yes' men. fully entitled to your opinion / assumption though....but extremely naive

In your opinion!

Without being conceited, I know plenty about Hull FC, The Hetheringtons, James Rule etc and I disagree with some of what you say.

Never mind the bollox, bring on the rugby::d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_41353.jpg

Ask agar why he brought long straight back into the hull team after a long injury lay off, when he didn't want to? Kath didn't want a player on a huge salary sat in the stands,at all costs! Kath ran the show at hull, and rule(also her son in law) was merely a puppet for her.He took the flack for her every time. She refsed to sell to Adam Pearson as far back as 2002 bu she was quick to flee, when the sh** was about to hit the fan.

So all your woes weren't Agar's fault after all, but Uncle Kath's?

Seriously, you need to move on; perhaps your New Year Resolution could be to avoid thinking about or mentioning Richard Agar ever again, other than to congratulate him when he takes WTW into the 8 next year?

Think you lot should remember all this when you are shouting for his sacking later in the season.Agar was another yes man for kath, nothing more!! Hull fans have been wanting rid of agar since end of 2009 season, due to the dire, boring tactics he uses, and the weak excuses for defeats.I backed him to the hilt during his time with us,but things never changed, and the board were more interested in profit rather than any sort of success. We hull fans are more than ecstatic with our new owner and head coach, and a huge difference on the field is a certainty.
