Well folks things just keeping better, today Leon came out of intensive care and has been moved into the High Dependency Unit. Just 4 days after major surgery, I don't know what I have done to deserve such a strong willed little boy, but he is truly an inspiration. Just a quick note as a couple of people were enquiring.

Leon yesterday celebrated (with cake obviously) 7 years from his first major Open Heart Surgery, He has had a few operations since, but all things considered is in fairly good health. The Outlook is still unsure, but we take each milestone as it comes and hope for everything but expect nothing.

Thanks to all for the support over the years, and just remember Rugby League is only a game, we may agree and disagree with each other, but please, keep it in context.. its only a game, some things are way more important..!

Just seen this thread a little late, Don, but I'm over the moon that the little Tyke is on the mend, and he'll be up and around soon with all the other little kids. Hope every thing goes well for you all!

As a dad and a grandad, it really hits home with me when children are ill, but a real pick me up when you hear stories like this, hope he keeps improving and you all enjoy life to the full.

Thanks for the update. Hope Leon, family and friends had a great day on his birthday. Hope he continues to make good progress.
