No juniors signed by Huddersfield and the Giants have released two players to sign for WTW.
Anyone care to apologise?'"
Yep, thanks for taking one of out most promising players, and offloading a couple that are surplus to your requirements.

To be fair and it was the other way round most on here would have advocating us to do the very same!
Its assistance from another RL club, lets not be churlish about it!

| What's to apologise for?
Dicky Thewliss doesn't say they were released to sign for Wakefield, he just says they were released; and one of them could easily be looking at a stretch in the big house, so let's not get too excited.
The anger directed at Hudds was based on taking Fergie for peanuts and trying to do the same with Murphy, whilst the RFL dragged their heels with our new owners fit and proper person sign-off. It felt like getting kicked whilst we were down, and some intemperate language was used whilst emotions were high.

| Quote: FIL "Of course it's not Shudds/Hull/Catalans/Quins(?) fault we are in the situation we are in...we all know the reason why we are in this situation.....however, put yourselves in our position...your club is on the brink of going belly-up, and the only asset you have left is the players, but there is an investor who is trying his best to arrange a purchase of the club, and the vultures then swoop... Ermm, right we'll have Brough, Brown, Cudjoe and Lunt....£50 enough Mr Administrator ?...fine....Leeds can have Grix, McGillvary and Lawrence for £10 each....Saints can have.....etc etc etc...(Cas can have the burger van !!!).
How would you feel ???'"
Nothing for me to apologise for....

Yes thanks, your link reinforces what I already said - Dickie says they've been released and gives his opinion that they'll sign for Wakey. That's it.

Is that the case or was our prospective owner holding things up, as it read from the quotes from the administrators?

Honestly, I don't know. It looked and felt like we were being done up like a kipper, but I don't supppose we'll ever know the truth.

So it's purely co-incidence that they were released. Grow up and admit your wrong for once.

You're like a dog with a bone.
Your club has released two players that are surplus to requirements and both are potentially leaving under a cloud, according to comments on your board; we have a paper thin squad, so we've picked them up.
What exactly are you expecting from me?

| Bren2k, Greg Johnson is not surplus to requirements at Huddersfield. As you know Richard Thewlis well enough to have a pet name for him, you will also know that he is very good friends with a certain Mr Kear. He is doing a friend a favour. Josh Griffin has unfortunately not pushed on as much as other young players and seems to have other goals in life at the moment.

Can he does us an even bigger favour, and let us have Danny Brough back, then ???

I think that part of the quote tells you it wasn't benevolence.
The only class being show in Huddersfield of late has imported from Wakefield and Australia. "Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis spoke to giantsrl.com;
