I think he's getting nervous. We're getting a multi millinaire and we're going to raid the leeds team.

| It's my understanding that Steve Parkin has submitted an offer for the club and it will be CONSIDERED by the Administrator on Friday when they become OFFICIALLY appointed.
No one can be proclaimed as the new owner until that process, which will include Andrew Glovers bid and maybe others, has been undertaken.
It may well be the case that one bid is or looks to be the favourite or even preferred option but as we sit here today nothing is written in stone.
This is not a pre-pack Administration so this isn't a 'fate accompli'.
Steve Parkin has been involved with the club for a long time (months) and has also been in lengthy talks with the RFL so, for a man with a huge business empire to run, he has invested a lot of time in his quest to acquire Trinity. that suggests to me that he will do what's necessary to succeed in his desire to own the club and therefore I wouldn't be surprised to learn he had won when the news finally breaks.
I would hope that all the potential new owners could find a way to work together for the betterment of Wakefield Trinity that's just me wanting to have my cake and eat it. The situation reminds me very much of the Wigan club back in the early 80s when their four Directors got together to resurrect them after a spell in the lower division had decimated them. Here's hoping that the impact of our new ownership is as significant as theirs.
As for Guisley moving to Wakefield should Steve Parkin be thus successful bidder, I don't see it happening that way. I would be amazed if anyone could take Guisley away from the community it has served and been supported by for decades. It's not just about the first team it's the 20 odd junior teams that play under the Guisley banner. I know what the ambitions of Guisley are and I know their current ground will hold them back but relocating to Newmarket would be a step too far for their fans.
What's more likely to happen is SP will sever ties with Guisley and promote a Wakefield based club to the new stadia and help build them into a credible non-League force which can mirror what Guisley have achieved under Steve Kittrick. Guisley have three millionaire owners so while losing SP, if that's what happens, would be a blow they would still be well financed and supported by their directors.

It's a very good post The Clan, if not a little optimistic and fantasy. A lot of Wakey fans seem to be getting carried away with this and thinking you will be some rich mega club going forward.
It's good news for you and well done, but not what some of the dreaming posts are saying on here.
For a start the costs associated with running Guiseley football club are less than those associated with running a Supere League club. Yet this so called mega rich owner, despite having 3 other multi milliionaire a partners, as took them no further than the lower reaches of the football competitions.
Unless you have an owner who is prepared to sink and risk plenty of his own money external to the club finances then it does not matter who is in charged. The only guaranteed way of making profits and have enough financial clout to sign the best players is for the club to be operated in a profitable manner with huge income streams coming into it. By that, whoever is in charge you will still need to continually attract 10k plus crowds in order to begin to compete with other teams.
