Quote: braytontiger "thats a good win regardless of the opposition,we go to celtic next week it will be the first time we have played them so dont know what to expect really.

'"

they have some big units in the team and a few nippy ones who are slight build , they did met us on a good day but tbf once the first 10 minutes had been played and their big lads were making no ground the writing was on the wall.

next week away at staningley icon_eek.gif

Shaw Cross under 18's entertain York Acorn this sunday.

Last weeks win over Kings Cross away 10 - 16 was a poor game between two sides not really showing any form, it can get better and will get better.

Baz stokes is going up tonight for the first time, Joels at Stanley and Tom Storeys at Upton, the rest either play second team at Gate or have packed in.

Shame that team broke up, it could have gone on to better things IMO.

Cross have a decent squad, they just need to belive in themselves.

Adams been training with the Yorkshire (kirklees) service area untill they found our he was from Wakey icon_smile.gif

Fair enough but why sign him on in the first place. they just took it for granted because he's at Shaw Cross.

cas panthers u10s travelled to dewsbury celtic

the final score was

dewsbury celtic 14 panthers 34

after trailing 14-12 at the break after playing up hill into a gale force wind we took control in the second half while the big dewsbury side struggled to get out of their own half and in the end it was a comfortable win.

Crigg under 10's away at townville today won 28-16 . Lot harder as expected , but to be fair crigg threw the ball about ( at last !) but maybe too much at first and never really had much possesion first half- the townville number 6 was outstanding , completely ran the game for them - strong in defence too . Bit of wrestling also involving the ref and a spectator too - I'll say no more ( it's cas ! - sorry brayton !)v.entertaining morning all round . Once again though good atmosphere before , during and after game - made to feel welcome so can't complain in that aspect .

normy knights under 13's entertained hunslet warriors. normy won 34 - 12. if some of the warriors had concentrated on rugby instead of wanting to play the hard men they would have done better. normy's discipline was outstanding, played some good rugby.
