| Quote: upthecats "It wasn't an obvious gameplan, your statement is wrong.
Previous to turning down this opportunity we accepted the two points on offer three times. Twice while we were down to twelve men which were both obviously the correct calls taking that into consideration, and the other time when the scores were tied at 16 all, so obviously beneficial to edge us back in front after Leeds had started the 2nd half really well.
Just going back to another point whether it is right to overule your coach, I think in some circumstances the players have a better feeling of what to do at the time, so I have no problem with it.'"
Why is it wrong ?? are you saying we would not have taken them if we had 13 men on the field ?? we needed to get back in the game.
Look back we always take points on offer in kickable positions.
8 points in front and time ticking away we should have taken the 2 and got set for a short kick off. JK was right and whoever made the decision ought to get a right bollocking.

| JK publicly backed his players for the decision in the aftermatch interview. Whether he does this behind closed doors is another matter. I actually thought running it was the correct option, we wasted valuable minutes and had we scored a try it was definitely game over. Full credit to Leeds, absolutely gutted but thats why theyre champions, they never give in. This should spur us on now in our push for the top 8, the boys can take a lot of positives (and a few negatives to put right) out of the game and it bodes well for an exciting finish to our season. Hopefully we will react in the right manner and improve week on week starting with Saints away next week where the performance will be equally if not more important than the result.

| great game and a great performance from our lads against the best team in SL for my money we did the right thing in not going for goal if we had Leeds would have gone for a short kick off and gained position
Crap end to one of the worst weeks in my life they say they come in 3s hope that the end now
Proud of the lads last night deserved more than the 6420 gate

I too thought it was the right decision at the time but when they scored to be within two points, I would of liked broughy to change the kick off to a low hard direction to the touch line on the wing to try and force an error,
we just ended up putting it up for them to throw about, it paid off for them as it could of easily been knocked on, what we have to learn is they have to chance our arm more often

| Right decision to run it. We should be good enough to run through the set without the risk of penalising ourselve. And even then we should have been good enough in defence to still win.
Still gutted but the lads were the better side and didn't lose for the want of effort anf enthusiasm

| I thought the decision was right at the time. On reflection and seeing it on Sky+ I feel maybe you were not fit enough for the 80 mins. Leeds although playing poorly seemed to be still full of running in the last 10 whilst Wakefield seemed to run out of steam and dropped off tackles.
Running out of steam against a side who failed to complete a decent % of their sets and who's ball retention was poor certainly doesnt bode well for the run in.

| Quote: SaintsFan "As a neutral it was a fantastic game to watch. Wakey played some quality rugby and Peterson stood out for working his butt off all night long, even when he was hearing birds tweeting around his head. All that effort and yet no result. Such a damn shame. I was ho by the end of the match, shouting you guys on. You so deserved to win.
What was wrong with Ganson tonight I don't know but there should have been two yellows for Leeds, not just one. And to give Wakey offside at such a crucial point when he hadn't given Leeds the knock on just moments before was a disgrace IMO.
And we won't mention the usual forward pass try given to Leeds. There seems to be one in every match this season.
Two things stand out though
Thought the offside decision was very poor considering Senior was offside frequently during the game.

I don't know if it as simple as lasting the 80 minutes. The energy of teams seems to go in phases throughout a game, at times earlier in the second half Leeds looked the more jaded. With tails up and 3 minutes to go though, adrenaline and the water carrier's magic can make a big difference.

One thing puzzles me we have tigerman 10 and 11 whatever happened to 1 to 9? probably grew up who knows. One thing for sure I hope that when the new model comes out tigerman 12 he's a bit more original and if its not too much to ask a bit more intelligent
Got to love the cas fans getting all giddy while languishing behind us in the table! Happy days!
