The commentary team said more or less that HKR were given the rub of the green and we were getting pinged for everything , not making excuses but they said a few calls on forward passes shouldn’t have been pulled in the first half . Obviously the ref didn’t knock on and throw wayward passes or run poor lines ,that lays squarely at the players and coaching staff

I am not the one who defends them on every occasion and why is it trolling because I do not offer an opinion. If you want one we appear to be back to the Chester period where we cannot score or defend unfortunately. I have said I thought our forwards were too light not helped by our recruitment this season. What do you think or do you need sometime to gather your thoughts.

BBC Radio Humberside RL commentary team said Trinity appeared to have a small pack with the exception of Arona and Tanginoa and that the Trinity bench also looked ‘light’.

We didn’t do the basics (yet again), forward passes penalties aside we didn’t control the ball , our forwards very rarely made any sort of platform for the backs to play off, our half backs were pretty much clueless - yes Lino made a couple of decent darts but literally he couldn’t tackle me, Johnson I don’t think got a pass game was effectively over after about ten minutes (again)

We have too many similar hard working relatively small forwards that are totally interchangeable - aydin v whitbread v arona v battye in front row? Makes no difference - same in back row - pick of bunch today was undoubtedly crowther who had a decent game.

We are a small pack even with the inclusion of Tanginoa and Arona.
We have a threequarter line, which IMO is good enough to challenge any in SL.
Our halfbacks can shine when they want.
Our pack is simply not good enough and the writing was on the wall with the pre season Featherstone defeat.
Sorry but Tanginoa and Arona are makeshift props who do their best. We need a rethink next season and god help us this season!

Well I don't know why we are not performing, I just know we aren't. It's across the team for me. It's not an individual thing. We are just slow passing and reacting.

As for trolling. Thats what your original post was. Not your opinion.

My biggest concern is we are stuck with the squad we have and i doubt very much we have the resource to recruit.

I wouldn't like to guess at "how much" of our cap is taken up by players that we can't get on the pitch on a regular basis.

Main issue for me as well. Got to be one of the tiniest squads and packs i've seen us assemble. Other teams just physically domiante us in all aspects... line speed... collision... wrestle. You name it we are awful. That's why the only options we have is are offload game and forcing passes.

A rethink for next season.

If the run continues, next season could be too late.

I'd be having a re think now, especially if one or two become available part way through the season.

Personally, I think we over recruited in the backs in the close season, Hall, Lineham, Minns, JD, especially with the numbers we already have
