He was right though - we were off-side before they threw the forward pass!

Unable to get to the game yesterday, watching hopefully the next crop of Wakey players in Cumbria, who progressed to the next round of the national cup, kept up with the score on the phone, didn't make good reading nor does this topic.let's hope it can be rectified for next week.Up the Trin.

Reading through this thread ive heard a couple of mentions of Aiton not been a Hooker. For me he is the only player on the team that deserves praise from yesterday, brilliant offensive play around the rook at times, caught there defense out on more than a couple of occasions but no one home to back him up and as always solid in defence.

It's simply irrefutable, as Robert Palmer nearly said.

As a neutral who was there yesterday if you are bagging Aiton you're screwed. Your best player by 3country miles. only1 who looked like might create something. The few errors made were prob a combo of fatigue trying to hard and lack of support!

Quote: mystic eddie "Seven pages so far on a thread on the Wakey board NOT started by a Wakefield fan. Am I approaching some sort of World Record?

FWIW, results yesterday were very telling. OK so you got a bit of a doing but I believe one or two sides will at Odsal this season so that in itself is not a massive concern. If I was a fan of London, Saints, Cas, Salford or Hull KR then I would be a bit worried. They all got a bit of a doing, and, certainly in the case of St Helens and London, in games that they had surely pencilled in as home wins.

Wakefield will be fine. You are certainly better than a few in the league and will always be capable of getting a few results at home.

Onwards and upwards. I certainly think that there is more to be positive than negative about with your side at the moment. I know that I can be a right wind-up merchant but deep down I know that you are a PROPER RL club and in its' current state we need as many as we can get.

All the best.'"

I think that you may have been better adviised to keep your gun powder dry.
One win against, on the day, a very poor Wakefield side and you think we're is some kind of meltdown.
You probably ougt to spend some time looking for a decent hiding place because as your own fans acknowledge, with a couple of injuries your paper thin squad could well be exposed.
It was a poor day all round for Wakey and one of the few plusses, was the fact that we were so far away from the action, it was difficult to see just how bad we actually were.
Enjoy your moment of glory, only 26 rounds to go !

Bad day at the office we all know the team is better than the performance yesterday forget Tim Smith the fact is the pack from 8 to 13 did not turn up yesterday forget it and move on bring on HKR

PS Aiton is a loose forward getting rid of Ellis was a poor decision in my view Wildie is the man who sould have gone to Fev and before anybody says it I am not having a go at Wildie or Aiton

Don't think Hull KR fans are impressed with their showing yesterday, and they were at home. Makes for an interesting tie next week, to see which one has the most heart.

I suppose the main positive is that the players showed little commitment, concentration or effort, and perhaps just one of those days. I get the impression it took everyone by surprise. I'd be more worried if they had played their hearts out and were still embarrassed by a Bradford side that is unlikely to trouble the top six.

I think people can stomach a performance like that if it is a one off, it happens. But another disinterested showing like that at home on saturday will not be tolerated. It is vital they show a positive reaction and I think they will.

Blimey, slag off your club, you get abuse. Stick up for your club, get abuse. Like your team it appears I just cannot win.

Not taking anything away from the Bulls they deserved that win with the way our lot performed but what would the score have been against a ruthless side on fire full of top quality players Warrington.Wigan or Leeds.

Yeah, I read what you posted and although you are a pretend to be doing something else, all you are doing, is basking in a first round victory and enjoying your moment in the limelight on your opponents board.
No pooblem with that but, as I said, its a long old season and although others may visit Odsal and get beaten, I really dont think you have a top team, Wakefield were very poor yesterday and we made your team look far better than they are.

I have not, anywhere, tried to suggest that Bradford are a great team. However, if we are as average as a few on here seem to think we are then perhaps you ought to be worried?

Of course, had Wakefield won then NOBODY from here would be on RAB now would they?
