Think at the time there were nearly as many people getting in free as we’re paying ,so crowds looked decent but I don’t think he had much idea how to run a RL club . Remember it well getting hoodwinked like a lot of fans to a meeting at cedar court for some great news , I was in the second wave to be told of a share scheme or the likes , total spin . But the best of all was the Pearman debacle ,who ride into town like a knight in shining armour throwing his false money and promises about like confetti . The famous Ceder Court meeting, remember massive queue to get in for the biggest meeting in the clubs history. Rumour going around was Parkin was there to announce he bought the club someone even pointed what was supposedly his car in the car park .
