Gave theirs as a try - which would have made it 6-6, but was overturned eventually and correctly by Smith.
Gave Lewis' as a no try which was correctly overturned.
That would have made a massive difference at the time....

I have no problem with the players celebrating a win and its a 9 day turn round so its fair enough in that sense also. What worries is me is exactly what you have alluded to. They may now think they are actually better than they are, job has been done and we are safe. It must be drilled into them that the hard work has only just started and there is a long way to go.

I get your point but to be fair a number of these players have been ritually humiliated by Cas in the last 7 seasons. This really was an extraordinary win because it wasn't just about the 2 points it was about genuine personal pride. All the games to come are only about the points and much as I despair of this current squad at times I think they know that. My issue is whether they have the ability rather than the will to repeat the trick 2-3 more times.

Funny, if at the start of the season you'd have said we'd end up on 16 or even 18 points you would have felt that would be more than enough to safely stay up. It's been a brutal season and one of the tightest I can recall. Even the top team has lost 4 games and may well lose a few more. I don't know whether this indicates a more even league, stronger or weaker, but it's certainly competitive.

I reckon it was massive massive party time for anyone involved with the club after that result. A significant victory in so many ways.

It was busy in the Supper Club

Two decent performances are usually followed by a set of drab ones. Like many others I fear it's the classic Trinity form to lull us all into expecting something from a game only to get our backsides handed to us.

Whatever has been the message over the past two games needs to be followed again. The intensity in defence is a must, no more easy yards, no more waiting for the ball carrier. Move up as one.

Same with London and the 2019 season. 8 point turnround and it would never have gone to the last day.

I'm admittedly a Trin pessimist but I fear we'll be back to normal service against Catalans. Said before - they will be sore as f after that result agaimst Leeds and if we're not 100% on it they could tear us a new one. Lets hope not

Yes, we could put in a dire performance but, whatever is going to happen, we may as well look forward to it.
Just 6 games left, just enjoy the ride and hopefully, we finish with enough points not to "win" the wooden spoon and a place in The Championship.

Like you, I’ve been here so many times before - big anticipation based on previous results - and been well and truly kicked in the guts! Sorry, not falling for it this time , I’ll rejoice if/when the job is done on Sunday!
