Look yes there were errors by both teams, letting a bomb bounce only 10 mins after catching a high ball to score a try is just one of a number but for sheer determination, commitment and offensively high skill level it was a very entertaining game to watch.

Asked the same question of Mariano last night. Did he get injured? As he played ok, but not seen in second half. He was subbed after 26 mins, not to re appear again. Normally if a player has an injury, the touchline reporter has an update on him, as was the case for Holdsworth. NGB4C can you shed any light on the situation?

Some people expect him to literally turn everything he touches into gold, and unfortunately he cant, very few half backs worldwide can! He is there to call plays and make key decisions and to do that he needs the team to act with a bit of cohesion, but we have to accept that it cant come off on every play.

Admittedly, we could do with a bit of polishing in the final 20, but we have to remember that Tim Smith marshalled us around the park and came with with two massive plays, executed perfectly, at the vital time when the pressure was on - the 40/20 and the kick to the corner for The Fox try. Id say that he's more than played his part this season and we'd be considerably worse off without him in the team.

Im not going to blame Fox for missing that high ball as if you look at it he was well away from where it was coming down.Take a look at it again and did anyone notice Collis was going for it and was pushed in the back by a hull player.

Maybe Mariano stayed off because Ali did such a good job tightening up that left hand side. I noticed both Ali and Andy Raleigh put in some crucial ball'n all tackles down that side during the last quarter.

Frankie came out of a few tackles early doors showing signs of distress; he left the field after 25 mins, never to return.

Have there been any reports about a serious injury?

I haven't seen it a second time but I thought they had out numbered us on the short side and therefore he had to guess between two men? I could be wrong like.

Haven't seen any word of an injury; makes you wonder, what with Kirmo having two fingers popped back in and a shoulder fixed on the run, and Amor going down in agony but playing on.

I guess some players can overcome physical pain more readily than others.
