I doubt it - there's not a lot that a club can do to interfere with what a player does in his own time, Trinity arn't responsible unless they have administered the medicine that contains the substance.
I really hope it is a mix up, it'd be a real shame for Terry to end a long and successful career in disgrace. |

I don't think it really matters either way, one club or another, if he has a charge to answer and we DON'T know that at this stage then it looks bad on the game in general.
People keep going on about the RL familly and then you read some of the bitter bile thats been posted on here by a few poor trolls. Trouble is that everything said by other teams fans gets taken the wrong way, and any sensible discussuion breaks down.

Yep. Good to see they have gone.
Whilst this is a serious subject we still need to remember the fantastic start to the season we have had
(despite the pie fiasco!  )
There is still a lot of great stuff going on, and until we are aware of the full facts its business as usual!

Well I think that's the first time I've heard Super League and certainly (table toppers) Wakefield get mentioned on the BBC Breakfast show.

Newton had to leave the ‘’Audience with….’ early around that time, might've been for this test.
My own personal thoughts are although the bad publicity is unwelcome for the club, they’re not responsible for individual players’ actions. Just as Wigan were not responsible for Hock, Bradford for Hudson etc.
As for the ramifications to the playing side, well I have no affinity towards Newton and he is still relatively new to the club. The hooking role is a department were the club are fairly blessed with Latu and Obst plus young Davy for back up. Had it been Brough or a forward it may have been a struggle.
The point about his recovery form injury is a good point, however, if this were the case I would’ve thought that Newton would’ve been given the benefit of the doubt without getting banned until conclusive evidence proved whether he was guilty or not. |
