Seems like they cant use the "address excuse"for this one.
It’s worth noting that if a CCJ is awarded against you there is no requirement to pay up immediately, you may continue to dispute payment and/or still negotiate payment. It’s only when a High Court Writ is awarded against you for the dept that you are compelled to pay or have goods removed by High Court Sheriffs to repay the debt.
This is factually incorrect, you have a period of 14 days in which to settle or negotiate, you CANNOT dispute at this stage. If the claimant is of such a mind, they may "set Aside" the judgement pending payment, they may also insist on immediate payment after 14 days. The judgemnet is the order to pay, a writ is authorisation for bailiffs etc.. to seize goods and chattels.
To trade like this is commercial suicide, any business that does credit checks will take note of the adverse credit ratings and leave well alone, for larger deals, should a supplier try seek credit insurance, it would not be available, thus making it impossible to obtain credit, unless a supplier is willing to take a leap of faith.....
Whoever at the club is trying to put a positive spin on this is either working on misguided assumptions or treating the fans likes fools!

Individually I'm sure there are reasons for each.
Collectively there are quite a few now and I wish there weren't!

Me too, but it's worrying..... This is not "normal" business practice in any way shape or form.
On the up side, they are being "satisfied", so it could be a case of playing the system to get extra time to pay, (at a cost), so at least the bailiffs aren't in!. Trouble will be when some-one does get hacked off and issues a winding up petition, which then gets Gazetted and you have to make representation to the courts, all bad publicity which we really don't need.

Who are they owed to ? Is Northampton something to do with the twinning agreement between WTW and the conference team ?

Nothing to do with that, Northamton is where the online management for CC Summons is based, anything issued "online" is issued from Northampton. If you wish, the case can be transferred to your local Court at issuance stage or if the court and / or plaintiff wish you to make a personal appearance.

| Embarrassing is an understatement. Unprofessional is more accurate. I can't help but think the financial state of RL in this country is a joke.
Clubs are allowed to get themselves in a mess, often robbing Peter to pay Paul, meandering along, often for years getting deeper and deeper into financial trouble, as we did, before disaster strikes and administration follows.
As Vastman said earlier, that's Rugby league and it is but it is also how RL has been allowed to go about its business because clubs can fly off at a tangent and do as they wish-commit financial suicide if they wish. Until clubs get together collectively and thrash out how they can return to clubs not being allowed to spend more money than they can generate then nothing will change.

Totally agree
However for those that live in the real world we all know what ever measures are put into place some clubs will break the rules in order to get the upper hand. Therefore the lesser clubs will always push themselves upto and beyond their finacial means in order to keep pace.

Sadly, I agree. It won't change, because those without the financial clout will always try to emulate those clubs with the money and so it goes on!

Thats very unfair - given the progress of the last 2 years. Sure we could do without these, but I think we're a long way from where we were!

No doubt many other clubs - company's will go through this, it does not mean that every club is going to go bust.. relax calm down and support the Trin
The opportunity to contest has all but gone.
Your "so what"attitude shows a clear lack of understanding of the implications/problems this adverse information causes any business, let alone a new start company trading for less than two years.

| I'm not entirely convinced that these CCJ's paint a picture of a business in chaos; if this online system has been set up to make it easier for claimants to file, it follows that spurious claims, like the pie man, are more likely to be filed. As a victim of vexatious personal injury claims on an almost weekly basis, I have some sympathy.
That said, it is embarassing for these small amounts to be piling up and it does sus no favours at all.
