| We are replacing all the bulbs in the bogs, the puddle in the car park has been filled in and we are having another batch of medium shirts delivered.
Good times

| Quote: TRB "Disappointed with a £1m donation!!!!
Get real folks! If that is true then we can only be victims of our own pie-in-the-sky theories!
I can't remember the last time someone put £1m into the club!'"
But would that be the 'biggest announcement in the history of the club' as billed? I'm all for hype, but it has to be backed up...and hopefully it will. (Am working and can't get to Cedar Court in time, shame cos had it been in Wakefield centre I'd have been able to make it, so will rely on here tonight.)

| some people really do live on another planet. I don't always agree with TRB, but have to agree that £1million pound would be a HUGE positive. Remember folks, it is only 4 months ago we nearly went pop!!
Honestly, if AG stepped out of Cedar Court and pulled the sheets back on an already built stadium on the land over the road some people on here would moan it was the wrong colour grey...

| If that is true then I thought Newmarket was already fully funded? Why would it need a 750K input? Unless of course NM has been kicked into touch for another option.....

When were we last given anything bigger than £1M?????? its a lot of dough you know.
If thats all it is,and i dont htink it si, its still (technically) the biggest thing in our history.
Ill gladly pick you up or drop you off in town, if your struggling to get there.

Would amber and black look nice?
It may entice them to come and play in our stadium then, and we could rename them Wakey 2nd's

It's not the million quid that's the issue maybe. £750K into something that is already funded would not excite me too much, as it would not bring the development any closer, and the club would not own the stadium. It's the fruition of a stadium that is the issue, not who will contribute towards it if it ever gets approved. The £250K into the academy would excite me more, due to the impact on the team and the franchise.
So build up the academy? Very good. A promise to donate something towards a project that isn't approved, is a long way from being started (in franchise terms), and won't be owned by the club perhaps doesn't deserve the billing. And to be fair, it isn't the people on here who have given it the billing that it has been given. The Yorkcourt angle is probably the most important part, and I think the poster has got the announcements in the wrong order, as it might be more like a big Parkin/stadium/Yorkcourt announcement, with the academy and stadium donation as part of the package( ie, part of the final detail not the main accouncement). A bit like when you buy a new house and they promise to throw in an upgraded kitchen and new carpets, and pay your legal fees.
