try scorer - did you go to the game today ? if you did how did Mathers play ?he must have been backing the man with the ball up to get 4 but that don't mean he did something outstanding.I didn't go to the game today working nights and had a breakdown with the truck half way through the shift so also had to wait for breakdown coming out.Saying I didn't go I could not say if Mathers was good or bad unlike the Wigan game as I went and Mathers was quite poor for my money.

Not little ,not a troll someone whose been involved with the game for a lot of years playing coaching and watching ,and find it easy to spot a showman who plays to the gallery but when the going gets tough dissapears

Not being an obvious expert, like many on here purport to be, I have to rely on our Coach, who earns his living doing things many people on here can only talk about.
He choses RM for every game at fullback.

Goose no but Mr mathers ain't going to improve and I've seen enough to know how the guy plays you don't become brave overnight and it was easy to predict he'd have a decent game with wakey on the front foot I've spoke to folk who've been and nothing they've said changes my opinion know if people come on here next week and tell me about his 4 tries then that's a different matter but somehow I don't think so

As well versed as me to say if Mathers had an outstanding game or not then.Still say he can do something outstanding ie tackle on Hock last season at BV same game let easy scores in.

Mathers probably is a show pony but his CV is pretty good.
Played for some good attack minded teams.
If he continues to pick the tries up, his defence will pick up also.
As someone mentioned, nothing like a bit of confidence to change how you play the game.

I knew this would all kick off with Mathers scoring 4 today.

today I think he found his level where he shows he can compete against a less skilled team, I have no doubt about his ability on his attack skills but I'm still cringing at that Bradford try where he had turned his back and left the door wide open.

so like foxy for every mistake if he can redeem it by scoring then I've no problem.

if you want to see a player who's confidence is down then look at Josh Charnley making a few mistakes him self and look at his score rate

As a neutral I thought he had a great game, especially the third try which took some scoring.
It seems it was only Warrington in which he was appreciated by the fans, lots of time for Richie.
