| Wood will never be a superleague standard halfback for as long as he has a hole in his backside. Interchange hooker at best. With Sykes out i'd put Lee Smith there and play Cowling in the centres but Agar will stick with the same old same old. And just what does Molloy bring to the table that Mariano or Walshaw doesn't?
Certain irony that whilst we are sruggling for a stand off Issac John scores a NRL hat-trick for Penrith.

| Quote Tricky2309="Tricky2309"Sounds very disappointing. Today was a real opportunity to put ourselves back in with a shout of the top 8 and we have blown it
Defence needs to be sorted out, too poor for years especially on our own line.
Child's can be a frustrating ref but our discipline is nearly as bad as our defence.
I don't question the effort of the lads, but playing smart is something we seem to struggle with and too often we end up shooting ourselves in the foot.
Agar has had long enough now for us to be seeing some improvements, but sadly it's seems like one step forward two steps back.'"
Agree, I really fancied us today and it would have been 3 wins on the bounce and the talk would have been of another run like last year but like you say we are just far too inconsistent have been all season.
Some of the players need a good long look at themselves in the mirror and man up.

| Well we have Agar until the end of next season as he wont quit as he proved at Hull and for me thats who the buck stops at.These players have already shown in certain games they can do the hard yards and win.Look at the 7 game run last year that included some good sides this season they were the best side against Hudds came very close in France so its no use saying this squad aint good enough.Alas before long all the hard work of getting the fans through the turnstiles will be on a long downward slope.

| Nothing new its what Wakey do best, let themselves and the club down. Its been like that for ever. The squads not good enough by quite a distance. We can all have our own views on team selection, but at the mo its up to Agar and his neck on the line.
In general we build players up that may have a good couple of games, but in general we aint that good. Ask yourselves how many of the squad would be welcomed at any other SL club .and that's the problem.
You could argue we are not that far away, and with a couple of players could perform much better You could also look at the players that have moved out over the season and ask why, and have the players coming in been any better.
The club need to decide what they want out of next season , then decide how they are going to pay for it. The problem s that if results don't improve , a hike in season ticket sales could well back fire.

I disagree, the squad in my opinion is without doubt good enough to make the top 8. However, they've lost that honesty, patience and work ethic that kept them in games last season. Our discipline is shocking and whilst not unfit we're lazy and do the bare minimum thinking that Tim Smith, Paul Aiton etc will create something out of nothing.
We've become complacent with players who believe they are better than they actually are. We've talented individuals, but we've a dumb team with too many individuals.
I guess, last year virtually all the squad we're new to WTW and keen to impress and bonded and played as a team. In the second season we need things shaking up, just to remind x, y and z who is in charge. It's a test for Agar

| Simple fact is we're a team full of players who are just "steady away". Outside of on occasion Aiton, Collis, T.Smith, we have a group of players that aren't all-round good players. Can't fault the effort we get from most of them, but effort only takes you as far as we currently are. We need quality. Players like Raleigh, Washbrook, L. Smith, Kyle Wood, Paul Sykes, Richie Mathers, Olly Wilkes... they're all steady away but none of them are going to be players that consistently get you challenging for top 8 rugby, in my opinion. However, I can't really fault them. What is baffling is when we clearly struggle down the middle, we offload the likes of Mariano. The problem lies in the club's coffers. Only until we can pay top dollar/full cap will we move forward.

| People can blame Agar if they want but I can think of three reasons why we lost today:-
Defence, discipline and unforced errors.
Defence was shocking in the second half and we admittedly put a lot of pressure on ourselves. People falling off tackles and jumping out of the line particularly from the centre positions.
Discipline was poor and gave Rovers a lot of penalties. Mouthing off at the ref or Poore standing offside from the kick off in the 2nd half are examples of penalties conceded which led to tries. I think Rovers got the rub of the green with decisions such as holding down and head high tackles. The incidents were about equal from each side yet somehow I though Child was influenced by the crowd. I'm not blaming the ref for our loss, it was the penalties we conceded which led to a lot of tries. We could have avoided those penalties.
Unforced errors. I remember walking to the ground saying how the conditions were great for an open game. Yet it is a long time since I remember us having so many knock ons! Some from basic passes.
Agar may well have to get them in tomorrow and begin with the basics - "this is a rugby ball".
I can blame team selection as much as anybody else but I don't think that is why we lost. I think we lost because the players were not committed in the 2nd half and a bit off in the 1st.
These last 2 weeks have been very disappointing and things need to pick up and quick. Don't we have Wigan after we play Cas? Makes it even more important that we beat Cas.
