See Wigan reserves just scrapped home v Cas reserves tonight.

100-0

Danny Richardson pulled out in the warm up sadly. Not that he probably would have made much difference. That's a shocking scoreline for us.
Blair has been such a let down. Before lockdown he was improving game on game but has been injured alot and has been dropped and not picked ahead of Brad Martin, Hepi and others.

A few? icon_eek.gif

That's a very strong line up!

Especially looking forward to seeing Tupou and Croft in centres.

Haven't seen the Hull FC line up yet but I hope they select similar quality.

3 first team players in Scott, Johnstone and Bowden, rest young kids with only about 5 SL appearances between them, so will be a real tough game for our reserves.

Ideal opportunity to get some game time under their belts without added pressures , and would expect it to be a good run out for hull youngsters playing against some experienced opponents

Be good to have some thoughts from attendees, thanks.
A little surprised at the scoreline, especially with the alleged relative strengths of the announced squads.

Just watched this. Two try’s saving some serious egg on wakeys faces here.

The attack was shocking all game and we were bereft of any sort of fluid tracking plays.

Murphy was outstanding. If we haven’t offered this lad a long contract then we should be tomorrow morning. He can be as good as TJ with game time. Must have easily topped busts and metres.

Jowitt solid as a rock at the back and broke the line and scored from 60 out on sheer effort alone to win the game.

Bowes - lads got a huge engine on him. Tackled well and made some very good scoots and contributions.

Butler - was the best forward for trinity today.

Battye had a terrible game. Arona was just okay. I expected more from these against a young g hull set of forwards.

Walker couldn’t be further from a stand off. The kicking game was dreadful except for a couple of decent late bombs.

Tupou got through the game…..just. Limping badly second half and is unfortunately a long long way off.

Sounds like a good game but ultimately a relatively strong reserve team struggled to beat a young Hull team. Not very encouraging when it comes to hopes for the improvement of the first team.

Thanks. Are you sure you weren't watching the first team? icon_smile.gif

Pretty dull game tbh. Lack of movement from the trinity team looking quite disjointed until the last 10 minutes or so when we found some urgency and started moving the ball better and running harder. Hull couldn’t really cope that last 5-10 minutes.

The positives were Murphy, Bowes, Jowitt and Butler. They would all start for me next week vs hull.

So pretty much what we've seen for the last few years. We're better off the cuff, otherwise, sadly, we have no idea how to break a team down.
