| What's this obsession with fast 7's , they're pivots, organizers, they call and make play's, being fast as a 7 is a bonus but its hardly the defining qualification.
Finn hasn't been fast for years, but then...he doesn't have to be.
I think to criticize his his game management is at least relevant to his position.

| Rocky had no chance of shining last night as he was playing on the wing, you have to give the lad a chance at some game time in his preferred position before dismissing him and looking elsewhere. We’ll never know if he would have made a difference in the half’s, in last nights game now.

| Finn's passing is slow never mind is speed . Twice last night he just stopped as the ball was been passed along the line, and just slowed every thing down.. He did a job for us when he came but is way passed S L standard . Think the coach saw this as he came of the field and rocky moved to scrum half .pity there was just 5 mins to go. Unless the coach was giving him a rest so he can play next week and slow us down again. Think it's time to give rocky a run at 7. Played against Hulls main half backs, and Leeds and gave as good as he got . Also the passing in both those 2 games was a lot faster. Now the grounds are harder think he would do well .

| Think half the problem is that one minute Finn is the saviour and we look better when he's on the field, this is normally after a defeat with him not playing followed by a win when he's playing!
But when we lose, the argument then is that Finn is too slow!
As has been said Hampshire played well against Leeds and Hull, same can be said for Max. The issue was smoothed over with a win against HKR, it's these games that Hampshire and Max should be involved in but the fear of losing meant that we go back to default no matter how the replacements played.
Can't create competition for places and build a strong mental attitude within the squad when no matter how you play you either get dropped or can do no wrong.

Must be watching a different game to me. Miller is consistently excellent.

| Miller is doing a good job in the first half last night he was very good . The trouble is he his playing with a scrum half who can not make a break . On dry grounds he is up there with the best. Do not think it's fair on one half back to take the line on he needs help .When rocky played 7 at Hull even though he was on a wet ground Miller looked sharp because rocky was taking the line on so giving Miller a rest. Plus Randel and Wood seemed to have more space .Hard to believe that we are in to the second half of the season and rocky as just played 3 times at scrum half . Think playing Finn for long parts of the match is becoming a big problem and if it's not sorted we could find our self in the bottom four

| Finn has been excellent for us in the past but I feel that he is now playing for a contract rather than having his injury fixed.
This is not working as his injury is stopping him playing to the level that is expected of him.
If I was the coach I would insist on surgery now as we have cover and Finn would be back for the business end of the season.
In my opinion Finn contributed massively to our defeat at Huddersfield by being too slow.
His constant turning the ball inside made us too predictable and I also felt that he pulled out if more than one hits due to his concern over his injury.
We need to look at the bigger picture. Finn is important to us but needs to be fixed up now rather than at the end of season.
In is current predicament he is affecting our play.

| I'm not sure who we can get in to replace him, Matty Smith is a good shout. I've always liked how Peter Wallace plays but fear he is also coming to the end of his career.

| It looks like Finn is currently in a "perfect storm" at the moment.
He is not the quickest anyway
He is carrying an injury
He is under extra pressure due to Grix injury.
Unfortunately this is leading to some very poor play decisions and execution.
Whether the natural succession is Hampshire and Jowitt i am not sure. Both are certainly keen and are good in defence.
They play with a lot of pace but are a bit like headless chickens. The thing that both need to focus on is the composure in attack and picking the right pass or kick, and making sure the 5th tackle plays are much more effective than they currently are.
It would not surprise me if we get a long run now with this New spine, so hopefully that composure and the combinations will start to come together.
BUT
It will take some time.
Personally i think we will still make the 8 ok. But Chester needs to give these 2 some really clear guidance.

| I suppose it's the same with most players when they have a few bad games, people trot out the same stuff. Finn has always been slow, he's said it himself! The question for me is, when did he actually pick up his injury? It was always Chesters' plan to give Rocky a run out at 7 over Easter, which he duly did, then he brought Finn back, then it's basically Finn plays a couple, Hampshire plays 1 or 2. Finn didn't play well again on Friday, but if Hampshire had played would we have fared any better? Obviously no-one truly knows. The team as a whole were poor again, too many unforced errors, including Finns' inexplicable knock ons, poor passes, bad kicks. We are just imploding, giving the opposition too many invites back into games, and no matter how average they are, eventually they are gonna say thanks very much. Apart from the obvious of cutting mistakes down to a minimum, i'm not sure how we get to a level these players should be performing at week in week out, we are under performing, and Chesters' beginning to sound like a broken record in his post match interviews, not to mention seriously p****d off.

| We played hull k r last Sunday and he was pivotal to our attack, poor v Huddersfield like nearly every Wakefield player and he’s too slow and we need to change?? I don’t think so!

| What chance has Chester got half the people on here like Finn & & half want rid. I think some people don't like change. It was the same when Owen played for some reason some thought he was brilliant some thought he was crap. If Chester doesn't do what he's paid for soon we're gonna dragged down into the bottom four
