view it again and repeat it time and time again to try and get an understanding whether he was trying too to avoid the swinging arm and it looks even worse now, as you can see that the strike happens he falls on his knee, having the medical information knowing he was knocked out or at least for the sudden moment he wouldn't of been in control of his body and his full weight has been impacted on his knee joint, I've even thought that the arm was a sudden reaction to the direction that Chris had taken to avoid the tackle.
to me its clear evidence that the way he accelerated into the tackle that he wasn't going to miss that tackle, Chris had taken a line and from the evidence hadn't deviated from that and in fact only taken three step from receiving the ball,
I trying to find your innocence to the tackle giving him the benefit of the doubt ie arm riding up from lower down in the tackle but again there is none.
had that been Tomkins you'd been up in arms
if I was you I'd stop harping on about it now as its clearly a wrong decision by the panel and could in'"
Viewing the incident again has done nothing but reaffirm my belief that Annakin's leg buckled as he attempted to sidestep Lockers. This leads to him dropping several inches which results in Lockers hitting the shoulder/neck region rather than wrapping around the chest as was his intention.
I'm honoured to have a thread named after me, but am glad that it's been renamed so we can focus on debate, rather than the name calling the other thread descended into.

Nope, you're wrong. I've watched it to look specifically for that. He was fully in control of all of his movement when he was clattered. No leg-buckling. His legs buckled when he was knocked out with a cheap, lazy shot and his torso went back but his lower limbs stayed planted. That cherry tint to your lenses must have affected your vision.
Had a shot like that from any Wakefield player put Super Sam out of action for three to six months, they wouldn't have played for quite a while, and you know it. You shouldn't have former teammates on a panel. I know Sculthorpe played at Wakefield, but he doesn't like us and didn't enjoy it. It was a biased panel and a poor outcome. Chester is right: it's a joke.

Agreed. Seen it several times now and his leg buckled as he steps, he is actually falling into contact.
As iv said before, if this wasn't Wigan and Wigans captain, there would be minimum fuss about the whole thing.

Why? Because I dont agree with you?
It was worthy of a straight red and the punishment given. He's missing a very important game at Leeds friday. I dont know what more you want? Its hardly the worst tackle of all time is it, its a lazy arm.

No because what you said isn't true. Any leg buckling happens after O'Loughlin makes contact, because Annakin suffers concussion as RESULT.
Just because O'Loughlin got a red card shouldn't come into deciding a verdict, just like injuries shouldn't come into it.
FWIW, no it's not the worst tackle or the worst thing to happen on a RL pitch, but it's a cowardly attack to the head, and considering the RFL bleat on about player welfare, I would've thought they would've been firm. A three match ban would've been fine - no more, no less. But a one match ban just takes the urine.

| People need to stop trying with this one. Never argue with an idiot because they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I disagree, it is as clear as day to me that Annakin attempted a side step, did his knee and fell into contact.
Had Tomkins been injured in a similarly unlucky challenge, I'd accept it as I like to take an unbiased dispassionate viewpoint on matters like this.

Finally someone else that can see the woods for the trees. It's clear as day buckling before contact.
Like you said, if it wasn't Wigan, Wigan and England's captain, there'd be very little said.
