Agree with all the above - including the "crazy" bit! It's still early days yet and the euphoria from the weekend still lingers but I suspect that, with just an average amount of good luck particularly on the injury front, the best is yet to come.

With hindsight, having BS in a senior advisor role with Chester building and learning ready to take over would have been the perfect scenario if we'd had the money and opportunity to do it.
As it happened we got the same scenario by accident but with no overlap or handover.
It will be harder for Chester to keep it going than it would have been if he'd been able to work with Smith (in a warm room) but it looks like he has jumped straight in and learned on the fly.

Not sure about that, to me Smith main problem seemed to be his abbrasive personality so I'm not convinced he's the father figure type you suggest - though I do accept that in terms of knowledge he does fit the bill. Kear on the other hand does appear to fit both rolls.

Well on that we certainly do agree. The Kear/Chester partnership I think will be great for the club.

Tom Johnstone pin pointed the way Brian worked on his faults one to one , to try and make him a better player. It's a real shame we couldn't have had a Smith-Chester combination...

Why is it?? Could you guarantee it would have worked?? We have what we have, and instead of pointlessly dreaming of a scenario that could easily have resulted in a clash of ego's, let's enjoy and support our current reality.
